Yeah I honestly don't understand how David hasn't gone through at least 10 laptops with all that beachside writing he does. You'd think at least a couple of them would have sand embedded in the keys or gotten dropped into a pool.

And let's just clarify here that I don't get to fly to exotic locales and drink margaritas. I get to sleep on the sofa of my college children. It's decidedly less glamorous and definitely less comfortable. They do not make me margaritas (terrible children!) - they expect ME to make dinner!

So wah wah wah. There are levels of beach. I am the least despicable of the bunch.

And btw - I went to the beach today, sun shining, about 75 degrees - and there were gale force winds making the temperature drop to about 65. I was FREEZING. I sat in a sweatshirt with the hood up and a blanket wrapped around me while the girls (and most everyone else on the beach) were comfy in their bikinis and shorts. I felt like such an old lady.

Oh Jen and Karen, I wish you were here with me--not that I want to subject you to crazy Iowa weather--going out this weekend and I just really want you two there! I will have tons of fun, but...

And honestly, Jen, you are the least despicable--you had to brave the horrible winter as well, so you are DEFINITELY more deserving of beach time! Unlike Karen, who lives in the desert, and David, who keeps running away from winter! LOL

Ha! Despicable Me! I finally got to the beach today, we haven't been since we moved into our new place. We only made it at 5:30 when the sun was heading down, but it was still awesome :)

Woot, woot for Tessa's music concert tonight! Recorders and singing! It was Disney themed, and so cute!

My fave part--they were doing a bake sale to raise $ for a field trip. At the end of the concert, all the kids are sitting up front, parents behind, and the teachers announce that "there are bars and cookies in the back of the gym..." And EVERY SINGLE kid's head swiveled around so fast...almost like it was synchronized! So so funny, all of the parents were laughing so hard! They guy next to me, was like, " A bunch of swivel heads!" LOL loved it!

Tonight at work made Ruebens...yummy yummy YUMMY!! One of my fave things ever! We never make them, but we had left over corned beef from the St. Patrick's Day lunch, so I told my boss to get me some rye bread and I'd make them one night for supper. They turned out PERFECT!!

Janae is an amazing person! I really love Janae! I'm glad Alison has a true best friend too. They are very hard to come by. Besides my husband I wish I a true best girlfriend. The shoes are cute!
