Oooh, I LOVE my Paperwhite! I can read at night without disturbing Adele :) Well, at least you had a good excuse to get it!!!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments David....I was oohing and ahhing about my Kindle Paperwhite last night & Im still loving it but I'm confused as to why there aren't page numbers at the bottom, only what percent you are done and a location number! WTH? What happened to the pages numbers? I'm quite attached to them :)

Hmmm well my paperwhite shows the page numbers for most books, but it seems that some books don't include the page numbers in the Kindle version. Have you tried a few different books to see if any of them show them? They should definitely be there, so it might be something in the settings that's turned off? Hope you can get them back, because I love knowing the page I'm on too!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments I figured it out David! It was something in the settings! Woot! Woot! Back to having page numbers!

Most books for Kindle have page numbers, if not they have location and percentage. On my Kindle Paperwhite (1st gen) the pages are on lower left corner so tap that and it toggles from location to page numbers, and also from minutes left in chapter to hours left in book.

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 297 comments I've started writing again. And I don't totally hate what I've written thus far. I usually scrap it right away and then sulk because its horrible. But I am oddly enough not abhoring either pieces I'm working on right now, and realize that editing is my best friend :)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Ditto on spring! FINALLY! March and April are always iffy and yesterday we nearly got blown away - but I always remember "out like a lion, in like a lamb" when it comes to spring. Hopefully it will just get warmer and sunnier.

Kaylani, that's great! We're always our own worst critics, so if you are liking what you're writing, it's probably really really good.

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Did I happen to mention that I got an ARC of The Forever Song (Blood of Eden, #3) by Julie Kagawa ?

I'm a little beside myself - can't wait to get started on it!

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments WOOOOOOT!!!

Just met Mike Mullin and bought a bunch of books. He's a really nice guy! He was all decked out in his tai kwon do (or whatever that is) outfit and there were people out front doing demonstrations. The bookstore was super small and crowded but everyone was really nice and accommodating. Mike's wife was there too and she is lovely. Got some cool books for you, Jenny and Karen!

I took a couple of photos - got the series for me and Karen and Sunrise for you, Jenny. He was SO nice. I'm going to do one video on BookTube just talking about the signing and the books. And if you want - I'll wait to read Sunrise until we all 3 can read it together. Sound like a plan? : )

Marianne (Boricuan Bookworms) (mariannelee) Happy (late, I think xD) Birthday to Adele! :)

Also, I'm still beside myself because I got to see my favorite band, Paramore, in concert last Friday! I almost didn't get to go because I had a test at the same time! Anyways, my seats were so close to the stage I could practically touch them. Also, the lead singer congratulated my best friend on her birthday! It was really an amazing night!

Woot woot! :)

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments The movie was great! Can't wait for Mockingjay! Of course I will always think the books are better than movies!

I think its a good idea though--the book is such that a lot can't be cut out of it without it making sense. Which they'd have to do if they made it only one movie.
