Woots all around for my 5 girls being home again! Got one in from Anchorage today, two drove in yesterday from NC, and one more flying in tomorrow night from NC. One was already here. The humor is starting - these girls are seriously hilarious when they all get together. From Makaela (the youngest) earlier today, regarding The Hobbit (Smaug) movie:
"OMG I rolled my eyes so hard I swear I could see my own brain."

This from the die-hard reader of George RR Martin (all the books) and Tolkien. She's currently sitting on the loveseat almost halfway through Allegiant. We'll see what she thinks!
Makenna (oldest) is reading "The Islanders" on her borrowed Kindle. Oh, my girls, how I love them and their reading!

Woot, woot, I'm on vacation all week.

Yesterday it was 77 degrees outside and my son and I went to one of the parks we used to frequent when he was in kindergarten and then went for frozen custard.

It was a good use for the unseasonably warm weather. We also watched Elf on my tablet. I'm not sure if it's still going on, but Google Play was offering a complimentary copy of Elf over the weekend. If you have an Android and like that movie, you should check to see if they're still offering it for free.

Thanks so much!! It was somewhat cold and rainy lol, so I would've preferred snow to that! But we still had a lovely day and a big seafood feast at Adele's parents :)

YAY, Karen! That was all the books I got, but I was super happy with them! That was all I asked for Christmas, so I was THRILLED!!

The kids got an amazing gift from my Aunt Katie--she blew up a pic of my grandparents (one of my favorites ever) and framed it for them. My grandma passed away in April. Its beautiful and so very thoughtful! But I won't be posting it on Facebook, at least for a little while. It made my mom cry like a baby. This was her first Christmas without her mom, and they were very close. And my mom checks my Facebook daily!
