Roller coasters!!! WOOT!!

I can no longer so round and round type of rides :( But I can still handle heights and fast type of rides! We did n't make it to our local amusement park this summer, first time in 10 years we haven't gone!

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Gravity: AMAZING. I haven't watched such a terrifying movie in a long time! Perfect for Halloween without being gory or gross. Even the dead people didn't look that bad. It's all about survival, and wanting to die and give up, and then making every effort not to do just that. I wouldn't be surprised if Sandra Bullock gets nominated again.

Hahaha! Sorry for making you jealous :) I don't feel sorry for me either, but I did want to finish the movie lol! And as much as I love travelling, there are plenty of downsides! Living out of a suitcase, long flights with 5-hour middle of the night layovers (like in Dubai where Adele and I were shivering at 3am waiting for our flight).

Oh and a couple of days ago we got attacked by monkeys and Adele's head got knocked into a pole and another girl got bitten! And getting to the island we are on was CRAZY. In a rainstorm we had to take a longboat, which we had to wade to waist-high while carrying a backpack each and our wheelie bags over our heads. Everything was drenched and then they dumped us back into the water and we had to scramble up the beach like drowned rats to find our hotel. It's been raining for 48 hours and the forecast says it will rain for another week lol! To get from our hotel room to the hotel lobby, we have to wade through a pond that's formed on the path (yeah, with fishes and stuff, not sure where THEY came from).

I'm not complaining, because these are all awesome experiences that I'll remember forever, but sometimes travelling isn't all it's cracked up to be!

(PS- we didn't have any issues in Santorini, Greece, and it was three of the most wonderful weeks of the trip, so I hope you get to go there Jen!)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 12932 comments Mod
Yeah, Greece would be amazing! Always wanted to go there! :)

Woot, woot to a very productive day! Was a fall cleaning kind of day, I spend a good chunk of it cleaning out the storage shed in the backyard, got it about half done! Also cleaned out my closet! I actually have room to put stuff in there now!

Not as exciting as watching Gravity or wading through huge puddles in Thailand, but I love that feeling when you get projects done!

LOL that's awesome, David! You and Adele have such great taste ;) Maybe that's why I was in the mood for coconut. One last HURRAH for summer! The temp dropped yesterday, its been rainy and chilly here. Good weather for cuddling up with a blanket, a cup of hot tea, and a book!

Beach. I'm going to the beach and warm weather in my mind. Give me Key West or some island down there, hurricanes be damned!

We all have short memories when it comes to our seasons. I have fabulous winters, but our summers are tough! But when fall and winter and spring are here, we forget all about those 120 degree days we survived! Ahhhh, but it's a DRY heat!!

I have 100% book compatibility with Maggie Stiefvater! I just feel so cool right now!

And 90% with Kimberly Derting! 83% with Susan Dennard! This is so much fun!

Jen and I scored SUPER high--95%
David and I were 85% I think?
Karen and I were 75%
And Brooke and I were 84%

Pretty good numbers, guys!

I think authors are much more accommodating than celebrities. But really, they are celebrities to us who loves books!
