Good news...I am sure it will be great like the first novel
Wowowowow!!!! Thank you people from the bottom of my heart :) Honestly, this news means a million times more when I get to share it with you. All I want to do is make you proud!
And Jen, I'm loving the variations in the classic woot woot! Hahaha!

New video, this has actually not very much to do about books--its my "Document Your Life" video for July.

I just had to share this after seeing your girls do the cup thingy -
One of my oldest friends is Rich Mullins. He died in a car accident in 1997 - but we were friends from my last year of high school through college and beyond. He actually invented the cup song long before Anna Kendrick did it in Pitch Perfect. Richard did it to go along with a song called "Submarine" that he wrote and often did in concert. Here's a live video of he and his band doing it - it was shortly before he died and he had been living and working on an Indiana reservation in NM/OK - there's another video of him doing it right after it came out on one of his albums, but the vocals aren't as good, even though he looks a lot better. He was an amazing person. One of those creative-genius-with-no-common-sense types. He's the one on the far right.

That is sad, but very cool at the same time!
Anna Kendrick does not claim it--she learned it a while ago by watching some girl on YouTube doing it. The director found out she knew how to do it, so they wrote it into the movie. I first saw it on an episode of "Full House", DJ and Stephanie do it at the kitchen table.

Has anyone watched the movie "Chimpanzee?" The Disney nature one? Tessa and I just watched it, and I am bawling like a baby now! What a touching story, and Oscar is so cute!

Awww...thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, it was really fun catching all that footage--I had like 5 hours worth I had to cut down!

Neat, Michael! Thanks for the vote of confidence and the props. I'm looking forward to sharing it.
I'm considering putting it up on Read for Reviews with the first one thrown in as a review optional freebee (hopefully to get some reviews on the new one without burdening people with double reviews).
What do you guys think? I must admit I don't spend much time on catching anyone up on book 1, mostly because my books are pretty short, so I think someone would need to read both to get a feel for the story.

Cool, that's what I'll do then. Now to finish revisions/edits. ;-)
Jenny, what's the link for your blog?

Oh, margaritas. Last one I had was soooo good - I think it was at Chilis of all places. Now I want one.

I had you in mind for a copy. :-)

Is my blog link, Patricia!"
Neat book blogger challenge! I wanna join in. It would be nice to write to a prompt for a little while, especially since I've been going a bit heavy on book reviews.
Go ahead and join in! Its pretty fun! That reminds me, I have to edit my video for tomorrow so I can get it posted!

They were good! I didn't stay real long, because I just got off work and was tired--also Darryl was trying to get me to sing Karaoke, so I about ran out the door lol!

BTW - I think I'll start a thread so that Jenny and I (and whoever else that's a BookTuber) can put up updates to our channels. That way we're not hijacking the woot woot thread all the time.
Woot woot!
lol!
Well, I have been very worried over the last week--there was a possibility that we were going to move AGAIN--which I really don't want to do--but it fell through, so we get to STAY! Woot, woot!

Yeah, that's a big woot for you Jenny, I once moved 5 times in 5 years and it was painful. Stay put as long as you can!

OMG, me too! That so would have been awful! Timing was bad, the kids are about to start school, financially it would have been hard--it was an opportunity back in our old town, that Darryl still works in and the 3 older kids go to school there--so it would have been less commuting and driving, so that would have made sense. I LOVE this house and living in this town, but I feared that it wasn't going to go my way, and it would have been selfish of me-but luckily for me, the whole things fell through! And honestly, Darryl likes living here too, he just gets tired of the driving. I would have probably had to quit my job, too, and find another one. :( Since I love my new job, that would not have been fun!
So, anyways, long story short, I am majorly relieved and a huge weight has been lifted from my chest!

Today is the twins' Birthday! Noah and Logan are 15 years old today!! How did that happen so fast???
Woot, woot!
I normally would now go into the story of their birth, because its entertaining...

What? WHAT? You have twins? I have twins too! Who knew? Happy birthday to them - wow, 15. Doesn't that mean learner's permits later this year? Ai, yi yi, I still get nervous when one of my kids is driving (lol!). My twins are Makenna and Emma and they are both 22. Makenna is the one who moved to Alaska, Emma lives with Dad (and soon to be me) in rural Indiana and is an animation student. They couldn't be more different - are Noah and Logan the same way? Are they fraternal or identical?
Happy birthday to them! Bring on the cake and ice cream!
Thanks, everyone!
That's so cool, Jen! The boys are identical, we had it tested when they were babies--but they look like night and day to me! Most people can't tell them apart, although Logan hit a growth spurt and is about 1 1/2 in taller than Noah now!
They are very different, but have similar interests. Noah is the silly, sensitive one that's good at just about everything he tries. Logan is a major perfectionist. He's good at lots of things, but he doesn't try very hard unless he knows it will be perfect! He didn't start talking until he was 3 years old. We were starting to get worried, but then all of the sudden he started talking, and it was complete sentences and he sounded like an 8 year old! He's like that in just about everything!
Sorry, proud mama rambling!
One of the guys I work with has twin girls that are 2 years old. I keep running into people with twins lol!
Jen, don't you just love having twins? Twins are a loud of work, but so much fun!

Wow, identical and yet so different. My girls are fraternal, and I had them first. So when everyone else was having their second baby and whining about how hard it was, I was shaking my head. I do love having twins! They are very close. I had them 2 months early but they were just "growers" and spent a month in the NICU. I got really, really sick (toxemia) and was in the hospital myself for 9 days! Can't imagine one of mine not talking until 3 yrs - my house usually sounds like the bird section of the pet store when they're all together. They're all in college now, never thought that day would come and here it is! I could go on and on about my kids. Perhaps I should write a book -- lol!
