Agreed, Karen!"
I loved Beautiful Disaster. Walking Disaster even more. I keep going back to the audios and listening to various parts for fun. Taking Chances looks like a little too much emotion for me - I'd love to find something along the lines of the Disaster books, but never know what to choose - I'll be interested to hear what you think of it!
I just got Icons - can't wait to read it!
We should read it together then, Jen! I can't wait to read Beautiful Disaster, I've only heard good things.

I'll read it along with you - both Icons and Disaster!

I'll try to join in on Icons! I hope to finish City of Bones by tomorrow but just decided to take two of my 3 grandkids (Amber didn't want to go) to Comicon tomorrow!
Yikes! I've never been and Wil Wheaton is there tomorrow and also John Barrowman so I'm in! Eep! Hope I get to see them and snap a picture! After JUST listening to Ready Player One narrated by Wil, I'm fangirling big time!
We drove by it tonight on the way to the baseball game and my grandson was blown away by everyone in costumes and asked "Meema, can we go tomorrow?" in his sweet voice. I can't deny my kiddies, especially when I want to go too! ;-)

That sounds like fun, Karen, have a good time with the kiddos!
I'm up way too late, time for bed! Nite!

But I've got a good one for you all, the random number generator picked a post from this thread as the member of the month! I'll be making the announcement soon, woot woot!

If you're wondering, degus are rodents that look something like a cross between a furry tailed rat and a chinchilla. They have strict care and dietry requirements, are very smart, very social creatures, and very active (they're one of few rodent types that prefer to be up and about during the day).
I'm happy about them joining the family, especially since hubby is quite taken with them, and I've been trying to get him to agree to let me have rats for a couple of years now. These guys aren't exactly rats (their care is a bit different for a start) but they're close enough!

Oh how fun! Can't say I've ever had rats, but did have hamsters as a kid! WOOT WOOT to your new additions!

I've had plenty of hamsters too. My last one lived to see his 3rd birthday. I've also had rabbits and a guinea pig. Nearest I've come to rats is seeing other people's though.
Like I said, these guys aren't actual rats, just similar to them.
Woot, woot on your new pets! I've had hamsters, bunnies, and guinea pigs! No rats or mice though.

Woot, woot to David!!! So awesome!
And woot, woot to you Jen as well, I don't think I could live long without my hubby. We've never been apart longer than a week since we've been dating--so like for the last 18 years!
I have a job interview today, wish me luck!

LOL Jen! Awesome about you being married again for a few days though! ;)
Cool Ally! :)
I have my copy of Water And Storm Country... It's great so far!
GOOD NEWS!! I got the job!! Just got a phone call offering it to me, YAY! I just have to go to a physical and drug testing next week, so its contingent on that, but that won't be an issue!
Its for an assisted living home for seniors. I will be cooking dinner for 30 residents 3-4 nights a week, and helping some with social activities. They also asked me if I baked, and would mind baking cookies and treats sometimes. I was like, yes, you can pay me to bake cookies! :)
Woot, woot, Victoria, I have my copy too! Not reading it for a bit, though, have to get caught up on the series first!
