Shannon (frejafolkvangar) | 107 comments I just finished Saga, Vol. 2 which was even better than Vol. 1. This might just be my favorite comic. I'm also reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and A Swiftly Tilting Planet.

Shannon (frejafolkvangar) | 107 comments Lianne! You're an Acacia fan? David Durham was my professor in college! I've only read the first Acacia book, but I'll be getting to the rest just as soon as I finish A Song of Ice and Fire and The Cheysuli Chronicles.

I just got my copy of Saga vol 2, can't wait to read it. I hope I'll enjoy it as much as you did.

Shannon (frejafolkvangar) | 107 comments I hope you enjoy it, Emma! And that it lives up to my hype. If you're interested, I reviewed Saga on my banned books blog:

Kelly (xitomatl) I'm reading:

Sloughing Off the Rot by Lance Carbuncle

Self-published work by Lance Carbuncle. I'm only about 20% in and it's weird, but I like weird. I'd recommend it to those who love John Dies At The End (so far).

Wow, that's awesome that he was your professor? What did he teach?

I enjoyed his Acacia trilogy, I'm glad I finally got around to reading the last two books, lol (really enjoyed the first novel) Hope you enjoy the rest of the trilogy (and that you're enjoying ASoIaF as well)!

Lianne (eclecticreading) I couldn't quite figure out what to read next so I'm currently reading 5 different books xP (this may also be the result of having just finished my exams for the semester)

- Philip H Pfatteicher's Journey Into the Heart of God: Living the Liturgical Year (slowly getting through this ARC)
- Katharine Britton's Little Island (this novel's moving pretty slowly IMO but I'm determined to finish this ARC)
- Matt Fraction's Hawkeye, Vol. 2: Little Hits (loving this! I love the art and how he writes Hawkeye)
- Ian Thornton's The Great & Calamitous Tale of Johan Thoms: How One Man Scorched the Twentieth Century But Didn't Mean To (just started this ARC)
- David Whitaker's Doctor Who And The Crusaders (started reading this yesterday; as I haven't gotten around to classic Who, it's a great way to get into the early stories)

Chantaal Currently reading Three Parts Dead. It's a strange sort of mash up of genres, though it seems to lean toward more of an urban fantasy setting, with more emphasis on fantasy. I'm enjoying the world building and main character so far.

message 159: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (darthval) Currently reading Fifth Grave Past the Light and listening to Covet on audiobook.
Fifth Grave Past the Light (Charley Davidson, #5) by Darynda Jones Covet (Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward

Just finished Fool Moon on audio, Fair Game on Kindle, and Superman Unchained #1, Superman Unchained #2, Arrow Vol. 1, and Wonder Woman, Vol. 3: Iron on the comic front.
Fool Moon (The Dresden Files, #2) by Jim Butcher Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs Superman Unchained #1 by Scott Snyder Superman Unchained #2 by Scott Snyder Arrow Vol. 1 by Marc Guggenheim Wonder Woman, Vol. 3 Iron by Brian Azzarello

message 160: by Lianne (new)

Lianne (eclecticreading) I am currently reading Jordi Punti's Lost Luggage: A Novel (quirky read, very intriguing), Peter Ackroyd's Tudors (just started the other day so I haven't read much so far) and Diana Wynne Jones' Howl's Moving Castle (loving this book so far! I can't believe I never read it growing up xD)

message 161: by [deleted user] (new)

Finally finished Lady of the Rivers, so now I can focus on finishing Darkborn by Alison Sinclair, Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill and Jenny Pox by JL Bryan. Yes, I read at least three books at a time....always have, always will :)

message 162: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (xitomatl) Currently reading and ARC of:

City of Devils by Justin Robinson

It's one of my favourite niche genres - pastiche of 50's detective novel meets sci-fi/fantasy/ridiculousness. Much in the same vein of The Automatic Detective, except I'm enjoying it more than that one right now.

message 163: by Anna (new)

Anna (AnnaTheHaibane) I'm reading Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Vol. 1, Anna Karenina (for my school book report), and I really want to read Age of Ultron.

message 164: by Asteria (new)

Asteria (destinysend) I'm reading Ender's Game. I can't wait to see how the movie will turn out.
