SOLVED. Fool's Gold Fantasy Series [s]

Hi Im stuck on the title of a fantasy series that I've been meaning to read again.

Here is all the infomation I can remember:

I know it was a fantasy trilogy with different character perspectives, but some passages would contain gossip or thoughts from the people of the city where part of its based which wasnt based on one particular character if that makes any sense.

It started off with a girl in her late teens/early 20's? She is with her father and brother, maybe even her female cousin if I recall and they are going to a festival/or trade market festival or something of the kind in a different land. She climbs on a sacred rock and since she is a woman wearing very limited clothing (well for that land) it leads to a lot of controversy from native onlookers, one male onlooker whom is another viewpoint who admires her and sort of becomes her romantic interest at the end of the trilogy but that dosen't end well. I remember her having red hair, hawk like face and a muscular body.

I don't remember any of the names so this is going to be hard, but the land that she comes from is more of a England/viking place and the land she visits is more of a middle eastern with asian influences place.

Other things I remember is the brother of the other character who saw her climbing the rock who is quite narcisstic but considered the better son by their mother.

In the other land that she came from their is mummers and one of the viewpoints, perhaps in the second or third book revolves around them. And there is an evil brewing in this mountain far away from these lands that continues in each book, the reader hears about it but dosen't see it till the last book when most of the characters go there to fight it.

Thats all I can really remember other than I think it was written by a female (I could be wrong) and it was probably written 90's to early 2000s, but maybe even earlier.

I would love it anyone had an idea what it could be, its been bugging me for while.

The series is called Fool's Gold, the first book being Sorcery Rising.
