Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments Absolutely! I've already got it on order. I'm like you Miz Tea I will shut out the rest of the world, except for the animals

Lindap I'm playing catch up right now, so I'll buy it when it's out in paperback. In the meantime I'm on "Origin in Death". The down side to catching up is I'll have to start waiting for the next book to be released like the rest of you. I don't know if I'll be able to handle the Roarke withdrawals!!

You're right, Linda! It is a downside.

Right now I'm reading them one after the other and it's wonderful! The cases flow, the relationships flow, and things that are brought up from previous books are fresh. It's like being within the story in "real time". Well, as real as it gets for fiction!! LOL!!

You really GET this series. That's how I read the books, one after another and it flows seamlessly.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments I'll definitely be reading it when it comes out, in between school reading, work and all. I don't see how anyone who have read the entire series can wait long after a new book is released. :)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I don't buy them I order them from the library. They come out a couple of days out after the books has been released. I do buy audios from Bookstand but wait until that particular one goes on sale for $10. I rarely pay full price.

Portrait in Death is one of my fans so far (Along with Divided In Death), and that has a lot to do with the discovery of Roarke's family and how he handled it. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention that it was abridged. That was a HUGE disappointment because large chunks of the romance/relationship/personal stuff was cut out. The whole conversation between Eve and Roark's Aunt wasn't in it. I've listened to CD's before, but not books I'd already read, therefore I didn't know if anything was missing. Now I'd like to get the unabridged (on sale!) but all I can find are ones that adapt to MP3 players.

It's also one of my most read scenes as well! I'm surprised that they cut out that part in the audiobook. I think anything related to Eve forming bonds with friends/family is a huge step for her character, so cutting it out makes it less developed IMO. I haven't actually listened to any ID audiobooks so I'm kind of glad I stuck with the paper formats.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments haha amen! I'm sure the wear on the spine of my books can tell people what parts I re-read over the most. ;)
