1. Hyperion / Endymion Cantos - Dan Simmons. Easily my favorite series of all time. I trul don't get the hate Hyperion inspired in some in May.
2. Mistborn Trilogy - Brandon Sanderson. I'd never heard of him until he got the job of finishing the Wheel of Time (which you'll see very soon my list) so I tried him out and loved him.
3. Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan. Yes it could have been trimmed a bit in the middle but that still doesn't take away from the fact that I love this series and its still the only series where I actually buy the books in hardback.
4. Lord of the Rings - Tolkien. I read this repeatedly as a kid. Last time I read it as an adult I didn't like it as well as I remembered but it still gets on my list for being the series that made me a fantasy book lover.
5. Foundation - Isaac Asimov. I'm not sure I liked how he seemed to abandon the thrust of his story midway through the series to force it into merging with his other universes but it was still good.
5.

1. Malazan Book of the Fallen-Steven Erikson
2. Song of Ice and Fire-George R.R. Martin
3. Lord of the Rings-Tolkien
4. The Black Company-Glen Cook
5. Honor Harrington Series-David Weber

2. The Gap Series - Donaldson. Even better than the Covenant Chronicles.
3. KingKiller Chronicles - Rothfuss. Can't wait for the 3rd book.
4. Harry Potter - Rowling. Currently re-reading with my son.
5. Foundation - Asimov. Overdue for a re-read.
6. The Amtrak Wars - Tilley.
7. Chronicles of Thomas Covenant - Donaldson.
8. Discword - Pratchett. Not sure this can be considered a series...
9. Night Angel - Weeks. Recently finished this, surprisingly fun, don't be put off by the ugly covers.
10. The Black Company - Cook.
