Taylor I was pretty confused at the end of this book but once i knew the answer it totally fit.

Emily The ending totally fit for me. Charlie is more of the guy that is very intelligent. I felt like the author wanted to make you think, I don't think he wanted to come out and say Charlie was raped by his aunt. Just because he wanted it to be more subtle. And Charlie loved his aunt so much he didn't really want to ruin her reputation because he builds her up pretty much the whole book. Also I think the author was saying, life sucks it truly does. But you know what, you get used to it and realize that there are some bumps in the road and as long as you are able to get up and brush yourself off. Everything is going to be okay. Just everything is going to end up fine.

Danielle I had to read the conclusion over a few times and watch out for his final confession carefully, yet it impacted me more intensely knowing that Charlie truly didn't want to put his aunt in a negative light.

Will IV Nicely said, Emily.

Will IV (Although, the lesson isn't universal. Everything doesn't quite end up fine for all of us, only those of us who are fortunate.)

Grace C. i was totally confused at the end. Eventually, i figured out that charlie was molested by his aunt.

Samantha I said it once and I'll say it again.. I do not get why SOOOOO MANY people did not get that he was molested!

Pg 204 Charlie talks about his dream he had about his Aunt Helen doing what Sam was doing to him (touching him) and then on pg. 208-209 in the epilogue he says:

"I kind of figured out that everything I dreamt about my Aunt Helen was true. And after a while, I realized that it happened every Saturday when we watched television."

It's pretty clear to me! I don't know why its not anyone else it seems like.

Hannah I thought the ending was clear. I also thought it was wonderful, a really powerful book. Hard to read at first, in that it didn't really grip me, but once it had I found it very touching.
