I don't hate Caine and I don't love sam. I'm in the middle with both of them. And I do like "The Breeze" it's her personality and cockness that I love, and Dekka is just AWSOME. I also hate Drake.

I guess that makes sense now that I think about it, though I probably would still choose Sam cause I'm afraid of the dark. ;D
idk. Caine seems Decent, I guess. Well not really. He's retarded. Team Sam hurr.

Have you finished it yet? There are some, uh, strange moments in it.
I love Caine , he's my favorite character ( and kinda reminds me of well me ) because me and my friends have this devils trinity thing . Zoe is drake , i'm caine and samira is diana

When the books started I looked up to Sam and Astrid but as the books progressed they started to fall apart and even Caine and Diana's weak relationship seemed better! Am I the only one who thinks that Astrid got really annoying when the books continued? Her intelligence gets in the way!
I still hate Caine, but that doesn't mean I have to love Sam.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuh, I'm totally on team Caine, I just love evil characters, I don't know why, just always have, but, then again, I've always really appreciated the character of Sam, even though he can be really annoying sometimes! Anyway, team Caine, he is soooooo much more awesome.
Legit Caine is all time one of my favorite characters.! i have to say it, he saves the day and he doesn't complain about it like sam does. I can see myself doing the same things he did in his position (other then the concrete hands things and a few others) Seriously all he did was take advantage of the situation, he manned up and wanted control, power, wealth, and above all he wanted to live.

everyone thinks he is perfect but he isnt he didnt even want to be a leader in the first place... and astrid is a pain in the ass but then at the end of plague i dont hate her anymore.
and i dont find brianna annoying.

You know how many times I almost burst into tears or threw my laptop across the room seeing people hate on Caine and love Sam!?!? Some people need to re read these books and look at it from Caine's pov. I mean, all Sam does is complain (which I admit does make up for a good character and so on) but not Caine. Plus, I love Diana and at the part in Hunger when her head got cracked open, I almost cried because Caine was crying real tears, and he is the evil one (or whatever). And Astrid is CLEARLY using Sam. URGG! But I love Briana... People not liking her made me frustrated also.
i liked Caine too he so complex unlike Sam which i found was little boring the Caine and Diana stuff are my favourite to read

Quinn's okay,
and Brianna's a breeze.
In the final book Caine was compared to Napoleon, but I think his actions at times were more like Hitler. He did not care who he had to knockdown - kill- so he could get ahead. He just wanted to be the supreme leader. He wanted everyone to bow down to him because he had been treated poorly in his youth. ( Anyone catching the connection here?) In the end he only makes amends because he knows he is going to die, or get out of the Fayz being the "evil one". So, no I don,t hate him, but I definitely do not see him as the tragic hero. Furthermore, there is no reason to hate on Sam. He did not want the responsibility of being a leader, but he did not make wise choices because he was being led by his very young libido. He was gullible and naive, but he was never intentionally disrespectful to any of the many annoying a characters in the Fayz.

No. Caine was an incredibly detailed character with layers upon layers of complex development throughout the books. Top that all off with a thick exterior and it makes for an interesting character to root for.There was a point when I hated his guts but as the book progressed I was just gripping the edge of my seat praying for the rise of Caine.
Did anyone else find him a little similar to Draco Malfoy? Slimy, superior, but young at the core?
Uhh... why would you ever think you're the only Team Caine?!? Caine was not my favorite during the first couple books, but after that I started loving his characteristics and overall personality. He really is a good kid, deep inside.
I have always like Caine, from the start, I liked his personality, and even though, he is the evil one in book 1 Gone, and book 2 Hunger, in which they only talk about how bad he is, I still though he was my favourite character.Many people have told me, I was crazy to like him, and understand why he did what he did. If I would have been him, I wouldn't have wanted help, from my new so call twin brother, Sam. I wouldn't hate him, but yeah, I would be angry and humiliated, for everyone to find out, that my mother gave me up for adoption, just because she though if was the best thing to do.
SPOILER: I didn't want Caine to die, I would have liked him to be saved.
I also, think it was very sweet and cute, of him to write Diana, a letter telling her that he loved her, and I think he was very nice, and kind, for him being the bad one, to leave a letter saying, he was to blame, and to not blame the rest.
I don't have anything against Sam, but it's kind of annoying for people to say Sam is the hero, Sam is the best, and give no credit to what Caine did for them, by giving Little Pete his body, to kill Gaia ( The gaiaphage, and hid so call offspring)
