Diandra smiled and nodded, "poor thing, probably thought I would punch her. She still hasn't talked to me...not that I cared," she wrinkled her nose, then laughed at her hero comment. She tucked her hair behind er ear and nodded, "eh, you've always been like that, Mirage. It's messed up, though," she agreed. "He was always a sweetheart. Like Eric," she smirked at the back of her brother's head, even though he couldn't hear her. He turned around and signed, I'm bored. I'm going to go walk around. I have my phone, just don't move. Diandra started to object, but she knew there was no point. Fine, but quarter till, come to the baggage claim.

She absentmindedly started bouncing Katie on her hip, then realized her bags were still laying on the ground and she blushed. She started walking back to them.

Marc strode through the terminal, his one small knapsack slung over his wide shoulder. When you were a SEAL, you learned to pack a lot into a little space. He slid a pair of sunglasses on and looked around. He spotted two girls talking, and frowned. One of them looked slightly familiar. They both had the tough look of a Marine. He strode over to them, his long legs quickly covering the short distance, and gave them a one finger salute. "Excuse me, ladies," he drawled. "You wouldn't happen to know when the Alaska plane is taking off, would you?"

Diandra turned when she heard someone coming. She smiled at his one finger salute. He looked awfully familiar...she was pretty sure that she had seen him before. He looked tough, a lot like a SEAL. She nodded, "yes, sir. It's leaving at 4:00. So," she glanced at the clock, "'bout half an hour."

Marc flashed his charming smile. "Thank you, ma'am," he replied politely. He studied her. "Do I know you?" he asked curiously. "'Cause you look awfully familiar, and I never forget a pretty face."

Diandra smiled and rolled her eyes, "yes sir, I'm sure you don't," she said good naturally. She peered at him. "but, I do think we've met before. You look familiar too. I'm Diandra Daughtry," she said as she stuck her hand out out of habit.

Marc took her hand, holding it firmly in his strong grip, and wasn't all that surprised when she gripped his hand just as firmly. "Marcus Lampert," he replied. "I'm guessing that you're a Marine? Did you by chance attend the class on field camo that Colonel Brakett taught?"

Diandra smiled at his firm grip, she hated what she called 'dead fish grips'. "Marcus Lampert," she said slowly almost like she was tasting the name. She smiled proudly and nodded, "yes, sir." Her eyes lit up and she nodded, "yes! I did! That's where I knew you from!"

He nodded, smiling broadly. "I thought so," he said. "One of my favorite classes-although nothing beats swimming. What rank are you?" he asked suddenly.

"That was odd." Jay commented dryly, watching Chet and the girl with the dog walk away across the airport. "Here," He turned and retrieved Tasia's bags from the aisle. "You carry the little one." he said with a friendly smile at the now-content one year old. "Where's your terminal? I can take these for you. My flight's not for another half hour."

Tasia nodded, "no kidding..." she agreed with pursed lips. Very strange... She smiles shyly and nodded, "thank you so much. Hey! Did I get your name?" she asked, blushing slightly. Katie looked at Jay and babbled and dropped her arm out infront of her. Her babbling ended in a high pitch oo. Tasia smiled down at her baby and pursed her lips. "Oh, my terminal? Um," she started to grab her ticket from her pocket, "oh! Mine doesn't either," she said as she reached into her pocket.

"I'm the CINC of my team," he replied. "Where are you headed?" He found himself gazing at her beautiful face and gorgeous figure, and blinked. Where did that come from? he wondered. I've only met the girl twice.

Marc looked up momentarily as a girl and her dog walked in, then looked back at Diandra.

Diandra laughed, "what fun is life without any jokers?" she asked with a wide smile. "I'm sorry, but where are you from?" she asked, he had been drawling up and down the place and she was curious. "That's sweet, and you're a SEAL, right?" she asked, even though she was almost positive he was.

"Don't you know that's right," he laughed. "I grew up in Coronado, CA, but I've traveled all over the world. I've got a little bit of everywhere in my voice, I know. A lot of Montana and Texas, some Mexico, even a little Italy." He nodded. "Yes ma'am, and proud to be one. Best job in the world."

Diandra smiled and nodded. "Oh, very nice. I can hear Montana and Texas," she smiled brightly. Now that he said Italian, she could hear a tiny bit of it. She nodded, "That's awesome. I'm sure it's one of the best an thank you very much for serving," she smiled. She had always had a very deep respect for SEALS.

Marc smiled back. She had a gorgeous smile. "I'll serve anytime for you, ma'am," he teased. He grimaced. That was cheesy, he told himself. So much for making a good impression. "So, you're in the Marines, yeah? How do you like it?" he covered smoothly.

Diandra smiled and rolled her eyes, she wasn't going to let him go that easy. She struggled to keep a straight face, "you will? Well, thank you very much," she said until her lips twitched into wide smile and she laughed at her lame reply. She nodded, "yes sir, I am," she said proudly. She licked her lips, "I absolutely adore it."

He smiled, relieved that she had taken it like that, and not gotten the wrong impression. "I'm glad that you like your job. Its so lame when people have jobs that they aren't committed to, or that they aren't good at. That's why Hell Week in BUD/S is so important. It roots out the people who are just there for fun, or to get honor and privileges. Only those who are completely committed and devoted make it through." He added, "I love being a SEAL. Hell Week was the hardest thing that I've ever done, but it was totally worth it."

Roman found his way to a seat and sat down, instantly unzipping his giant puffy coat. It was WAY to hot here to be wearing such an item and he was beginning to regret it as he shoved his scarf into hie carry-on. He re-adjusted his glassed on his nose and looked around, excited to leave and go to Alaska.

Tasia nodded, always keep the important stuff close to you. She smiled, "if they really needed it that bad..." she bounced Katie on her hip and sighed. "Nah, I have an uncle up there who..." she trailed off, trying to figure out how to say this, "who owns a reindeer farm," she smiled, "sounds weird, right? Well anyways...I kind of need a job so he offered to let us stay there in exchange for work. So, I get to be a farm hand," she laughed and shook her head. "What about you?"

Jay raised an eyebrow and chuckled at the thought.
"Hey, it works." He shrugged. "Sounds like a pretty neat place for the little one to grow up, too. I'm just going to visit some relatives and go skiing. My cousins have a huge house up there and I guess it gets empty. They've invited me up there a lot."

Adam finally reached the terminal with Alvina. There were quite a few people milling around, waiting to board. "Yeah, the quiet flights are the nicest," he replied.

Hearing the honesty in her voice.. he found some comfort that things might take a toll for the best when he did move out. His eyes lit up and his nervousness left him completely when she had agreed.

Dalton was waiting for the plane that was going to take off soon. He had migrated a few times from place to place, but he was back now. All he could think of, for some reason, was Alvina. Why? He didn't know. Was it her oddness?

Dalton pulled on the light jacket he had and got up to go board. Once he got on the plane, took his seat, and got comfortable, he waited. He was pretty excited to go to Alaska. Though it didn't seem like such a vacation savvy state, he was in for it.
