Should this be made into a movie?

@Michael , The only problem I see with trying to make these books into a series is that it's possible that either they'll finish what you've written and want to keep going, causing them to destroy the ending you so love, or the show will get canceled without finishing the books and we'll be left with an incomplete feeling. In my opinion it would be most beneficial to get these into a movie series. As far as getting it produced, I agree with one of the previous people about using maybe AMC or BBC, though several years later there is another option that I think could be very appealing, Netflix. They do original series and movies and do them well. They even picked up an AMC show called Longmire after AMC canceled it and gave the watchers an actual ending that they wanted. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I realize this thread is six years old but I made an account on this website just so I could share my dream casting for Royce... Matthew McNulty! He’s a fairly unknown British actor but he plays a great rogueish character, and he looks the part. I don’t even have an actor for Hadrian in mind yet, but I am very passionate about Matthew McNulty as Royce! Lol.....Anyway, I would love a film adaptation for Riyria, as long as the characterizations are on point! I don’t mind shows with small budgets, because it’s possible to make it work, but if the writing is off or if the actors don’t portray the characters correctly then the whole thing could flop... It’s definitely a gamble but I’d still give it all of my love because I ADORE this series!! I always kind of envisioned it as a BBC show, but I don’t know how that would work since the author is not British.....idk if there is some rule about that? Lol but BBC has done some pretty decent period dramas with the same witty humor that Riyria has—Merlin, The Musketeers, and Robin Hood to name a few. The Musketeers is HIGHLY recommended!! Matthew McNulty is the main villain of season three and I felt he gave a great performance, which is part of why I can so perfectly envision him as Royce! Lol

All of the books in the Riyria Revelations and Chronicles should be made into movies.They are amazing! If they ever did make a movie, I wonder which actors they would pick to play Royce and Hadrian.
