I'd just like to publicly state that I am not a slacker! I'm participating in Yz's other January challenge in the PNR group requiring us to read 9 books in Janurary. I've read 7 and am on the 8th now. Just wanted you to know. Thanks, I feel better :)
I'm a newbie to the group but I think I seem to have achieved the January challenge without knowing.
1. New Year Challenge:
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne- I watched the video some time ago but never read the book. To keep in-line with positive thinking and renewal I decided it was time. (January 26)
2. Beginnings:
Purple Panties: An Eroticanoir.com Anthology by Zane(my book club meet with Zane in December and this was a recommendation from her, I read story a night out of the book before bed)
3. Tournament of Roses:
Veil of Roses by Laura Fitzgerald (January 17)
4. Winter Season:
Wicked by Gregory Macguire
5. Martin Luther King Day:
Pandora's Box by Allison Hobbs (January 9)
Welcome to the group, Felisha. If you can strike out or put a date on the books you have read, that will help me when I update totals. Again, glad to have you aboard.

Ok I still couldn't find a book with a flower that seemed interesting but I'm changing #5 to the second book in PC Cast after realizing that I used book one for number 2 in this challenge. So I'm at 3 books
All done! And impatiently waiting for February to start... my books are teasing my from the shelf... 'read me, Annie, read me. Don't wait until February... we're here now - waiting...'

Don't wait until February... we're here now - waiting...'"Annie: I had to start reading something else to distract myself. Even though I will probably end up setting it aside. I read pretty quick though I may finish it by FEB. I finished 3 for the challenge. WOOHOO!
Here's my update. I actually read 14 books this month but only these fit in one of the categories.3. Tournament of Roses: Read a book that has a name of a flower in its title.
4. Winter Season: Read a book that has a word that starts with "W" in its title.
Nikki wrote: "Like Kenji, I'm done and had to read something else as well."I read 17 adult books 2 junior and 1 ya book this month, but I only started the jan challenge in the middle so had to squeeze my challenge books in!
I just finished today as well. My total books read for January was 24 with 7 of those being YA. I've got a February book club book to read and then I'll start the February challenges. With the time differences, it's probably actually February for some!
It is for me Melissa, but unfortunately I'm off to work to do my sunday afternoon shift at the library. =( BTW - Wow! 24 books, rock on!
I just joined and it's the last day of the month, lol, but I read a few books this month that fit the categories.1. "The World According to Clarkson" by Jeremy Clarkson
