Yeah, sometimes it wakes me up when it ends - I may not be completely asleep but enough that it jars me some. Usually I feel myself getting more tired and turn it off, hopefully at the end of a chapter.

Birthday: April of 1987Favorite Color: (hard one) pink, purple, blue

First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): depending on the definition: probably Twilight-ugh I hate to say that

Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... I read 173% of my GR yearly challenge goal for 2015!
hey from Ontario Canadabirthday July 12
I am 32 years old mother and wife.
I'm seriously addicted romance books and love stories.
but am up to reading new books.
Hi Virginia! I long ago realized I was always reading love stories, even as a child those were my favorites! Now, it is almost exclusively romance - I need my happy ending!!
Me too Kat and Virginia. I also love stories like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Martian - but those I tend to listen to on audiobooks... Top narrators really bring life to those stories for me :)
Jane (PS) wrote: "Me too Kat and Virginia. I also love stories like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Martian - but those I tend to listen to on audiobooks... Top narrators really bring life to those stories f..." I know right I love to listen to Audiobooks
Virginia wrote: "Jane (PS) wrote: "Me too Kat and Virginia. I also love stories like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Martian - but those I tend to listen to on audiobooks... Top narrators really bring life ..."what are ur top 10 romance books. Kat and jane
Eek - that is such a hard question Virginia! I could probably list my fav authors more easily ;) but I'd have to split between mf and mm since I read a lot of mm :)Off the top of my head, the following mf authors are ones I consistently buy:
Nalini Singh
Georgette Heyer
Christine Feehan
Jennifer Estep
Kevin Hearne (not romance though)
Ilona Andrews
Molly Harper
Hmm - I need to get on my GR account to work out more. I'm sure I've left some off!!! (Tapping away on my phone and working from memory ;)
Gah - That is like asking which is your favorite child!!I might be able to narrow it down to favorite series/authors:
Anything by Jill Shalvis - at least her more recent stuff, I haven't read her older work
Shannon Stacey - especially the Kowalskis, though I am enjoying her new series a lot too
Samantha Young - I LOVE the On Dublin Street Series
Lorelei James - love her cowboys!
Anything by Pamela Clare! And the audios are pretty yummy too!
Everything I've read by Julie James
Susan Elizabeth Phillips, especially the Chicago Stars
Laura Kaye (Hard Ink and others)
Thea Harrison (Elder Races)
Lara Adrian (Midnight Breed)
Kresley Cole (IAD
JR Ward (BDB)
Nalini Singh (Psy-Changeling)
Jennifer Ashley (Highland Pleasure)
Lisa Kleypas
Maya Banks
Well, I didn't do a very good job narrowing it down, did I? And as long as this list is, I know I'm forgetting some! You really didn't think it would only be 10 right?!
I have often said though that Kiss of the Highlander is one of the most romantic books I've ever read!
Birthday: Jan 24Favorite Color: Royal purple and bright green
Favorite Food: cheese (& wine)
First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): The Infamous Army (Georgette Heyer)
Favorite Romance Genre: Historial
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... I read them, write them, and study them scientifically.
(I'm really here because I study fiction... I pretty much stopped reading romance when I ran out of Georgette Heyer ;-)
I love Georgette Heyer, Jessica - she was the reason I read fiction as a teenager :) My favourite book of hers is The Unknown Ajax. Good luck with your studies!
I have some Heyer paperbacks on my bookshelf. And they are so old--back when they were less than a dollar to buy brand new!
Mine are pretty old too, but not as cheap as that!! It would have been the early to mid 80s that I bought mine :) The ones I love I now have in audio. In general they are all very well done ~ the only exception is These Old Shades. I didn't like the characterisation in the audio for that one :(

Urgh. Justin Alastair is meant to be very soft spoken and bordering on evil if poked. Garrett makes him sound like a hearty buffoon!

First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): I think it was A Quick Bite by Lyndsay Sands.

Birthday: July 1stFavorite Color: Green
Favorite Food: Mac'n'cheese... Mmmm, cheeeeeeese....
First Romance Novel Read: Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. If that doesn't count then the second was An Offer From A Gentleman by Julia Quinn.
Favorite Romance Genre: Paranormal and Fantasy, particularly if there are cats or cat shifters!

I know what you mean Tasnime - before I had my iPhone and carried my books with me everywhere, I would just pick up anything to read to fill time! So much happier now that I can carry what I WANT to read! =)
MountainKat wrote: "I love chocolate and bananas too! They are so much better together!"Bananas and chocolate--Good Lord! We should get together and have a banana and chocolate partaaay!!!:)
Hi all - I'm Grace, and I'm 42 and live in Estes Park, Colorado. I'm an avid reader (and writer) of romance and paranormal fiction. I enjoy books with a great story, and with characters I can believe in. But I also like fantasy, thrillers, and a good mystery once and a while. I've had some short stories published in traditional print magazines, but I'm trying the self-publishing route as an author to hopefully reach a wider audience.I use a Kindle paperwhite reader (kinda old, but still works fine). As for hobbies, I'm into outdoor recreation, photography, and watching my hubby race motocross in the summer.
Anyway, I look forward to being a part of the group, and finding out what great new books people are reading.

First Romance Novel Read: Flame and the Flower by Kathleen Woodiwiss
Favorite Romance Genre: suspense, contemporary, historical
Finish the line: I know I'm a book addict because there is never a day when I do not at least a few pages of a book. Because I would rather read then watch tv or a movie. Because I worry more about what books to take on vacation then I do the clothes I will wear.
Lori wrote: "Because I worry more about what books to take on vacation then I do the clothes I will wear."Oh, that's funny! I used to be that way too though - thank goodness for my kindle! Now I just have to make sure they are loaded and not worry about space or weight!
Birthday: July 17Favorite Color: polka-dotted purple, sea green, and gray. Admittedly, it’s difficult to choose (or even to narrow it down) but over purple, sea green, and gray, I love black. The color… it just looks divine.
Favorite Food: buttered shrimp
First Romance Novel Read: Steam & Sorcery by Cindy Spencer Pape, unless Walk Two Moons counts as romance, because I reread it before then
Favorite Romance Genre: Contemporary, but because few of them are as hilarious as I like, historical romance is quickly taking over my shelves
Finished the line: I know I’m a book addict because I growl externally when I reach my hold or bookshelf limit for the online library. 6 books at a time is hardly too much.
I still haven’t quite figured out why my to-read list is so long. I read very often, but I haven’t seemed to make a dent.
Jill wrote: "I still haven’t quite figured out why my to-read list is so long. I read very often, but I haven’t seemed to make a dent."If you do figure this out, let the rest of us know - my list just keeps getting longer and longer no matter how much I read!!

We're getting ready to go on vacation in a few weeks, and I'm already figuring out what to get from the library or what to download when, so I have what I'll need to keep me occupied for a week. Oh yeah, and what clothes to bring! :)
Jill wrote: "I read very often, but I haven’t seemed to make a dent. "It's a strange phenomenon, but true. The more books you read, the more your TBR pile grows. I don't know how it happens...
It's such a relief to know there are so many of us in the same boat - books to take on vacation & the mysteries of our TBR lists ;)
