Between Calila and Teresa, you could keep each other happy! One could buy what the other sells! =PI think owning a book store would be wonderful, but I have completely switched over to ebooks so maybe an online store would be more appropriate for me...

Lol - a spare kindle! That's VERY prepared Laura, and perhaps a touch fatalistic ;) I can't talk though since I have both a kindle and a sony ereader - but my reasoning and justification were based on accessing all possible cheap deals...
Oh yeah - I have a sony ereader too but I read most on my iPad mini, lol. I definitely have a problem!
Laura wrote: "Oh yeah - I have a sony ereader too but I read most on my iPad mini, lol. I definitely have a problem!"I am right there with you! I'm not listing all of my toys though.... As long as I don't admit it to myself, I really don't have a problem! =P
You know, I've been a member of the group since July of 2012, and I don't think I ever posted in the Introduce Yourself thread, or in this one! Guess I can right the wrong now, huh?Birthday: January 5

Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because....I make lists of what is next to read and there is always a book or my e-reader within my reach!

First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): Was one of my grandmama's old Harlequin novels
.Favourite Romance Genre: I'm all over the map! Love PNR, some historical and am a huge fan of the NA genre.
Finish the line: I know I'm a book addict because... I can't make it through one shift at Chapters without buying a book and carry one with me everywhere I go... often in a ziploc bag to keep it safe.
LOL Victoria! I have to say I hadn't ever heard of the Sunfire series, but after looking at Susannah, they reminded me of the American Girl dolls I saw in NY in November, where they build a whole story around a girl doll living in a particular period in American history. I have to say the 4 floors of American Girl blew me away (as Fran would attest to) - I couldn't believe it.Glad to hear buying the paperback/hardback book at Chapters is still alive and well, even if it is solidly supported by the staff, Jen ;)
Jane (PS) wrote: "LOL Victoria! Mine was Samantha, and I took such good care of her that I have passed her on to my own daughter! Though I've never seen the American Girl store, I have seen and toured the original factory in Wisconsin.
There were 32 books in the Sunfire line, and some were better than others. Each centered on the named girl choosing between two guys, and they were usually set in a period of history. I loved most of them, and I agree, they do remind one of the American Girl line!

There is absolutely nothing like them in Australia - guess our population isn't big enough to set a doll in a piece of Australian history ;) (I suspect the doll variations would be pretty minimal too! LOL.)

They've expanded the line quite a bit since then! I know I would be interested to see some of the stories that come from the Australian history that the dolls might draw from! Australia is one of my countries that I have an interest in!

It's been several years since I read them though, so I may be mistaken!

Yeah, gotta agree with MK here, its perfectly normal to prefer to spend your day in a bookstore than a mall. I still go to bookstores, just to get more ideas to fill my Kindle wishlists with!
Glad you're joining us! Its a fun group to be in and trust me, the challenges are a blast to participate in as well!
Welcome Jaclyn - Hope you find heaps to keep you busy and going back into that bookstore (or the online version ;)!

Welcome, Flower! My e-reader (in the form of a Kindle Fire) also travels everywhere with me...it is rare that I have an actual book in my hands now!
I hope you like it here, the group is just great! The challenges are a total blast and there is lots of good discussion to be had as well! So, pull up a virtual chair, sit a spell, and jump into some of the conversations going on!

Welcome Flower! My poor old ereader is looking the worse for wear - stuffed in my handbag or sitting in the car with me. It even went with me to help fix a water trough the other day ;)

Birthday: December 25th!!Favorite Color: Deep dark red
Favorite Food: Freshly baked bread
First Romance Novel Read: Watermelon
Favorite Romance Genre: Any type of Romance
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because I spent most my Birthday/Christmas money received as presents on ebooks instead of boots and jeans which is what I really needed
Thank you (: It usually gets over shadowed by Christmas, but my other half usually takes me out at the end of January to celebrate my Birthday
Kaica~Mae wrote: "Thank you (: It usually gets over shadowed by Christmas, but my other half usually takes me out at the end of January to celebrate my Birthday"That's a great idea! My birthday is in August and my husband generally only remembers at the last minute - consequently we often celebrate my birthday about a week later ;)
(And we both ALWAYS forget our wedding anniversary. It's dead easy, but we still forget!)
Hi I'm Gemma,Birthday: 20th of May
Favorite Colour: Purple
Favorite Food: Chocolate
First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): Just A Girl
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... People can stop me from reading for only a short period of time (which is hard even then) and for sleeping.
Hi Gemma! My husband used to complain about my constant reading, but I've worn him down and he now handles me toting around my eReader everywhere ;)
Hi Jane it's the same for me(except its my dad(I'm not old enough for a husband yet)) that gets annoyed with me for always reading but I just tell him to get over it and to just let me read in peace.
Happy Belated Birthday Kaica~Mae!! I understand how easily a birthday can get overshadowed by other holidays. Mine is Valentine's Day and I think in 30 years of marriage I have only gotten presents for both a handful of times - makes them memorable I guess! I usually just go shopping to make up for it, it would probably be cheaper for my hubby to do the shopping himself! =P
