Oh my goodness there are 1522 posts in this thread??? That's a lot of introductions! I'll never be able to keep up ...

I just joined this group yesterday. I work full time and have two kids (4 & 7) and a husband who seems to expect me to spend time with him, so I don't get to read nearly as much as I would like.

First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): I probably read some cheesy Harlequin and Silhouette books earlier, but the first one I remember was titled "Love and War" and I think the author was Victoria Holt - I've recently tried to find this book on lists such as Goodreads, and have failed. I'm sure it's long out of print. It was probably published around 1978-1981. It was set during the Civil War, the hero was a Union officer named Travis, the heroine was a Southerner, with violet eyes, the skills of a doctor (her father was a doctor) but I can't remember her name (Catherine?)
Favorite Romance Genre: historical, particularly Regency. Honestly, I have no idea what the different genres are.
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... I don't know! I'm having a hard time with this one! Because I currently have a stack of 11 books from the library waiting to be read? Because I obsessively review every book on Goodreads after I read it? Because for a while I was running up against the maximum number of checked-out items at my library? (part of the problem there was: I was getting books for my daughters too - fixed that by getting the older one her own card.)

I read a variety, but currently romance is the favored genre for me. I will try very hard to keep up with posts around here, but I may not do very well. I signed up so I could do the A-Z title challenge.

Favorite Romance Genre: I am a true Romance Junkie. I don't have a favorite genre...just favorite authors: Susan Elizabeth Phillips (Contemporary), Julia Quinn (Historical), and Karen Marie Moning (Paranormal).
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... When I started, I couldn't stop and I read over 600 books in 5 years! I always have at least 2 books going at once (one audiobook and one on my nook- because it's not available on audio). I stopped listening to music and watching TV (except for sports...easy to watch when your reading). I NEVER leave home without my nook and/or iPod. And the #1 reason I know I'm addicted to books is...I only have a handful of songs on my iPod, it's full of audiobooks instead.
