Favorite Romance Genre: Depends on the book. I like hot and steamy when I want to be in the mood or sweet and light when I'm in that mood.
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because I stay up till 4am, get one hour of sleep and go to work. I'm happy when I get books in the mail or gift cards to Barnes or Borders. I specifically by most handbags so they can fit at least one book so I can carry it everywhere (I don't like when bags are too big).

Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because I prefer being with them than humans, though they cannot talk. I did notice that whenever I see a book I forget everything else

For example, at first I would talk to you and laugh with you but the next thing you know I'm already sitting at the chair located at the farthest corner of the room to avoid getting distracted and whenever you try to talk to me, I will most likely just answer "hmnn..."

Perfect day = book + solitude x food/drinks + breeze

Mine don't like it either, but they wouldn't dare take my books/nook away. It's sad, but they look at me as intellectual because I read. I don't know one single person in my life currently that is a reader! Ooops, except my stepdad that lives thousands of miles away. :(

I'm in the same boat with you. No reader friends in real life.

So finding GR is such a blessing for me. It's such a pleasure to hang and discuss with people that shares the same passion for reading.

True, and it encourages me to read more. I read so much when I was a teenager. I put books down for about 18 years after that, so I lost any contact I had with my 'reader friends'. SO glad I found Goodreads. :) I actually signed up a long time ago with intent to pick back up reading, but it took awhile. My husband thinks it's a "new" hobby of mine, I've tried explaining it's something I've always loved.

Hahaha. Because I hadn't found GR and all the wonderful books that are available beyond the Australian bookstores (and for far more reasonable prices) I hadn't been reading much when I met and married my husband. Now that all these wonderful books have been found, my husband thinks its a new hobby as well!!

I'd always read Georgette Heyer, Jane Austen etc and loved the Harry Potter series, but couldn't find other books that suited me... There are only so many times that these books can be read in one year!! When we moved to the country, I got serious about looking for books on the internet and was recommended the Goodreads site by a second-hand bookstore owner. The rest is history. :)

Brenda, there are plenty of good books here in Aus but they cost the earth - MMP price $15-$22 new and about $8-$10 2nd hand. A lot of us smarties here on goodreads from Aus use the internet cause it's way cheaper.

hi! or hola! actually. You're right I do have a Latin American background, Im from Argentina, although right here is not that common the name.
