Birthday: November 5Favorite Color: Varies
Favorite Food: Salmon
First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): Forever by Judy Blume (does that count?? :-) )
Favorite Romance Genre: Historical, particularly medieval, but honestly I haven't read a lot of romances lately.
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because....
I have no space for my books. I have boxes and boxes in the garage. So sad!
Hello all! I'm a recent newbie! I just got addicted to challenges in February! Found this group and it seemed like there were some spill-over in membership from the PNR group (which I'm also a member of). Anyway, here's some more about me:Birthday: November 17th
Favorite Color: Changes from time to time! I've been buying a ton of purple lately :)
Favorite Food: I love Mexican food! MMMM
First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): I can remember two and I'm not sure which I read first
one is a YA book called On Fortune's Wheel by Cynthia Voigt
and the other was Honor Bound by Sandra Brown!
(I LOVE THAT BOOK! I think the cover fell off my copy since I read it so much!)Favorite Romance Genre: Right now, PNR but I also love Fantasy Series/Epic Fantasy that have a good romance or two in them!
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... Besides the fact that I'm on goodreads everyday now? Here's something tangible...I live with two of my best friends and my boyfriend, we just moved in to a new place and there are 2 built in bookcases, two small bookcases, and I just bought an ikea cubed shelving unit with 6 shelves, after unpacking I had filled all bookcases with just my books! (Including DOUBLE rows in all 6 shelves in the ikea piece.) When I bought it I thought I would put some pictures or cute stuff in there too; alas, no space! Whoops! :)
Welcome Ashley! If you like challenges, we definitely have plenty to offer.Let me know if you have any questions.
Heya! I'm pretty new but mostly just a lurker. I'm not big on challenges because my schedule gets in my way but I love finding out what other people are reading and what's good. My specialty is raiding second hand book shops and then tracking down the rest of the random 'out of print' series that I manage to fall in love with.Birthday: January 10
Favorite Color: Silver and black regularly but blue and purple are usually the colors of dye in my hair.
Favorite Food: Cheescake and chocolate - preferably together!
First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): The Prince of Air and Darkness by Jeanne Rose
Favorite Romance Genre: Paranormal but I'll read anything as long as I love the characters.
Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because.... My apartment looks like I should be convicted of grand theft library and I have worked at the biggest bookstore in my town for four years and it's primarily so I don't lose my discount and can't afford to feed my addiction.

Hi everyone. I'm relatively new to GoodReads, although I've been active on Shelfari for almost 2 years. On some sites I go by my blog's name (Passion for the Page) instead of by Kristi. I live in St. Petersburg, FL.Birthday: June 3

I just wanted to mention that I notice a lot of people are into the paranormal romance. I wonder if that can include other stuff besides vampires. I really like the ghost and psychic angles, but the only vampire series I've ever liked is the one done by Nora Roberts. I've tried a few, but couldn't get into them. It's probably my age showing.

Welcome Fran, Vanessa and Janelle.Angie, consider yourself officially introduced. : )
Vanessa, the PNR (paranormal romance) genre is more than just vampires...give me a shout-out and i'll be more than happy to discuss them with you. I love Nora Roberts trilogies, too.
Vanessa: I feel the same way about paranormal. I've tried a couple of different vampire series and they don't do much for me. Werewolves are only marginally better. But I do love some ghosts or witches. Demons, maybe. I didn't even care much for the vampire (and shapeshifter) trilogy that Nora did *gasp--because I like nearly everything of hers!* I did like the demon one, tough. Looking forward to 'talking' books with you!And Janelle: LOL on the blurple ;o).
Yz, Thanks for the welcome. As far as the paranormal goes, I do like ghosts, haunted houses, psychics or psychic phenomena, that sort of thing. I just finished re-reading Midnight Bayou by Nora Roberts and loved it. I also am a big Jayne Ann Krentz fan and love her Arcane Society series. Oh, and I like some witch ones as well.
Kristi, Thanks for the support, LOL. I sometimes feel alone out there. I actually thought the vampire trilogy by Nora was ok. The last one in the trilogy was the best; the other two were a little slow in parts. But I do like the demon one better, as well.

Welcome to the group, Anita. If you want to tell us more about your book/s, feel free to post more about it in our Promotion folder.
Thanks! I'm very glad to be here. I love reading. I did read the rules about promoting, but wasn't sure if just a web address was okay here. It's hard to separate the reader from the writer.
Anita wrote: "Thanks! I'm very glad to be here. I love reading. I did read the rules about promoting, but wasn't sure if just a web address was okay here. It's hard to separate the reader from the writer."No worries, Anita.
The reason, I suggested the Promotion folder is if you want to give more details than a web address.
Anita wrote: "Stupid question...where is the promotion folder? Did I mention that I'm technically challenged?"Right now, its temporarily hidden because it has no recent activity.
To create a new thread, right under the 'Currently Reading' books, on the right side of the Discussion Board line, click on 'new'. Create your title, click the drop down for folder (there you will see (Self)Promotion), select it, fill out the message box and then click post. The folder will then become visible on the group's page.
Hope that helps.
