ssssshhhhh quiet I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YET!!!

See, this book isn't just "creepy" and "depressing". It really has a message in it. It has significance to modern issues, and the truly scary thing about it is how believable it seems.
Not only that, but I sympathized with the characters. I got so sentimentally attached to them. I cried during this book at least three times, and I almost NEVER cry ... especially not from reading. But WOW this book got to me.
I couldn't stop thinking about it while I was reading it, and for weeks AFTER I had read it. It kept me up night after night, just thinking about it.
The Unwinding scene was particularly disturbing. Even though throughout the entire book I was like, "Gah, I hate Roland!", I found myself crying when he died. The way it was written was just ... *shudder* WOW OMIGOD WOW I can't even think of a way to describe it. But it was truly unforgettable.
Seriously: This book is a work of genius, and it changed the way I think about life.

yeah, i didn't mean creepy, i meant more, "eerie"... kind of, eerily similar to the real world, because it is the real world, buti mean it seems so possible, the way shusterman writes it.... i dunno , i can't put it into words, dangit haha...

The part that scared the H-E-double-hockey-stick out of me was when:
1) Roland was unwound- YEESH! It's so...creepy! And the worst part was when the nurse was talking to him. I hate that...it's just too...unnerving. And then, "You may feel a tugging sensation around your ankles. It's nothing to worry about." THE WORST PART- "You're going to have to stop blinking now." AAAAHHHH!!!
2) That one article, before Part 5 started (I think), when it had a story where babies were ACTUALLY UNWOUND...IN REAL LIFE. I almost screamed! I was so scared!

K.
First, things I didn't like.
-The story didn't flow very well.
-The ending tied everything up a little too neatly for me

It was depressing....but I mean, every thing was all tied up. And so obviously. He just jumps around saying 'this is what happened here and this is what happened her' but not saying it like that...idk. Just didn't work for me. *shrugs*
why do you think so?
