I propose a site change. I am so sick of seeing that super super super retro cover for the Game of Thrones default book. No one really "owns" that edition these days. They just keep adding that default one to their shelves and perpetuating it.

Ronkoteus - Lentävä Kirvesmies http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/77...
it's comicbook adaptation of the original.
When I tried to separate it this popped up:"Sorry, you can't separate the most popular edition of a work"

Ronkoteus - Lentävä Kirvesmies http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/77...
it's comicbook ad..."
In that case, use the separation tool to tick all of the secondary editions and break those off.
(To get to the separation tool, click "Other Editions", then "separate".)

It is really annoying in series lists as well like this:

because all the books are written the same, except the few where the default edition is a different publication.
Take Farenheit 451. The default is the spanish language version, with a spanish summary. Since this is an english speaking site, obviously the regular default should be one of the english editions.

How does one change which edition is the main edition that shows up when a book comes up? I've tried to figure it out but I don't know if that's actually within our powers as librarians.
