Rose Cimarron (rose-c) | 17 comments Is this group only for those using blogspot? It seems that all those I look at use blogspot rather than wordpress.
Since I'd rather catch new posts in my reader than my email, I find blogspot blogs more tricky to follow.

If there's another group for wordpress bloggers, please let me know!!
Thanks and happy, successful blogging to you all :-)

Nic | 6 comments I beleive this group isn't technically only for blogspot. Of course it happens to be more common because it's easier to set up and has a more dummy friendly system. I also enjoy blogspot for the fact that you can view your followers recent post on the home page. And it's also easier because blogger has a plugin for followers which creates easu readership.

Rose Cimarron (rose-c) | 17 comments Thanks for the feedback Nic. When I started, I thought blogspot looked more complicated!
All the best.

I have both a blogspot and wordpress blog and I'd take blogspot any day. Wordpress you can't use Java and with blotter you can use any font...there's so much more freedom with blotter than wordpress and blotter is much easier to learn in my perspective...

Rose Cimarron (rose-c) | 17 comments Thanks for that Lacey - perhaps I'll have an experiment.
I found that importing text from OOO/Word gives you the code for different fonts...and that different templates have different default fonts.
I also like that wordpress isn't part of the google network, so I'm not being logged and cross referenced...LOL

Briana | 63 comments My blog is on Wordpress. I know that Blogspot is more customizable, but I actually find Wordpress more intuitive to use and its much easier to format. A lot of text on Blogspot seems to more for inexplicable reasons, making it difficult to have pages I update frequently, like a review archive.

Wordpress does allow you to add the URL of Blogspot blogs to your reader. The downside is that I don't think the Blogspot blogs register this, so it can be hard to prove you're a follower if there are things like follower-only giveaways.
