Brooke Berger | 1 comments Hi Lena,

Thanks so much for the book and all the help you are providing everyone!

I have a question about linen. I am working on a project where I am block printing on linen fabric. Eventually I intend to create pillows and some other household items.
I wash, dry, and iron the linen but the linen is still very wrinkly. I know that linen is a wrinkly fabric but I have seen many linen pillows and they are not as wrinkly as my fabric, in fact they do not seem to be that wrinkly at all. I am just curious to know the best way to work with this fabric?

Thanks so much!
Best,
Brooke

Hi Brooke,
Sorry for the very late reply. Did you try using some linen/cotton blends instead? I've worked with many different kinds of linen and they all wrinkle differently. The heavy weight upholstery linen that I use for pillows doesn't wrinkle that much. I also dry it on high heat and then pull it hot from the dryer and press it with my hands. I hope you have had some luck since posting this! You could also experiment with not washing and drying it before printing.

Best, Lena
