I have 2 5 star reviews for my new novella For Sophia'sl Heart on Kindle. I gave this novella away in June. I need a few more good reviews. If you read it and enjoyed it, please post a review on Amazon. Here's the link. http://tinyurl.com/d6py9k4

I'm going to do another freebie with it and would like some positive reviews for prospective readers. Can you help me out? It would be much appreciated.
TIA!

Judy I am really surprised how few people leave reviews. There have been a few lately that I went to B&N to leave the review and I was the first! They were books that I'm sure many have read. I use to be someone who didn't leave reviews so I guess I understand and they are a lot of work at times. I leave them at about 11 places so it takes about a 1/2 hour to write it and leave it places but I see the importance of them now. Especially since there are folks out there who use their time and seem to enjoy leaving negative reviews for no apparent reason. I review for NetGalley and also now have an editing business of my own but will see about adding your book to my list when I get time Lyn.
Just checked and I do have it on my Kindle PC and it's in my read and review list :-)

Janet Marie Dowell | 153 comments I have this book on my Kindle! I will read soon and post a review on several sites for you!

Thanks so much and reviews are another thing to do. I review books too and showcase them on my blog and here on GR. but often forget to post on Amazon, B & N, etc. so I better get with it! :-)

I intend to put Sophia up for Free Aug 24-25 so need reviews before the 22. THANKS. You LIH friends are the most faithful!

Judy, do you have a website for your editing biz? Other autors are often looking for freelance editors.

Judy I'm waiting for my LLC to come through before I put it up Lyn.

Keep me posted, Judy.

message 14: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Goddard | 1 comments I'm surprised too-I didn't get many reviews for my Oregon Outback. And I get so frustrated with reviews that give you a mediocre or low score for things like they don't like short books--and these are novellas. LOL

message 15: by Judy (new)

Judy I enjoy Novella's. Especially after reading several 300 plus page books I find it's fun to read something short. I just finished the last of my NetGalley reviews and enjoy seeing an empty folder in my MUST READS. It takes me a good 1/2 hour to write a review and post them to the 11 or so places. When I started my blog I thought it would be fun to get "free" books to review and now I'm there and having to turn them down. I'll see about getting your book next Lyn!

I hear you, Judy, since I also do a lot of endorsements for other authors. But I like having people send me books to read with DEADLINES. Then I have to get them read on time and write the endorsement.

Authors do appreciate all you book bloggers! (Or most of them. ;-)

Judy As you know Lyn, I did get to your book and really enjoyed it.
My LLC has gone through and I got my City of Surprise license as well.
Hubby set me up a bigger desk yesterday and over the week-end I edited a book twice and one yesterday (well finished at 3:00 am this morning).

My business is called Judicious Revisions LLC. The reason that sent me off to get the LLC was that I wanted to lock in that name.

Oh, congratulations, Judy!! That's a wonderful name and how great to know that you are all set up for business!

message 19: by Judy (new)

Judy Thanks Janet! I have done a few books before but now I'm official :-)

I was reading Proverbs and it was all about wisdom which sent me looking for other words for wisdom.
Judicious = wise and thoughtful
Revisions = change, rewriting

As for this thread...if you haven't read this book of Lyn's...it's really worth reading. It was really good.

I just liked your Facebook page. Are you going to have a website up soon?

message 24: by Judy (new)

Judy I've been busy setting up my new office area and trying to get the banking and such set up. I will probably set up a blog page eventually. Thanks Lyn!
