message 102: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Probably. I'm a bit random too. Takes one to know one!

message 104: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Well, swipe me sideways with a ragman's trumpet!

message 105: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments If you read them all closely it will be quite obvious which one is Simons, but it took me a couple reads for it to click.

message 106: by Mago (new)

Mago (Mark) | 1709 comments Come on Jud spill the beans

message 107: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments When do we actually find out? I'd love to know.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments It was the first one, wasn't it?

message 109: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments What was the first one? There is a very subtle clue at the end of Simon's that it is his.

Mago (Mark) | 1709 comments Ignite wrote: "Well, swipe me sideways with a ragman's trumpet!"

Tim | 8539 comments I voted for Mago :)

So how does this work regarding the next one? I'm still the new guy - only been here a couple of weeks after all (blimey, is that all? It seems like years!)

message 117: by Mago (new)

Mago (Mark) | 1709 comments Cheers Tim.
I'm off to the pub to celebrate 2nd place.

message 118: by Pat () (new)

Pat () | -245 comments I reckon Simon's is the one with the cat drinking the milk 1940

Beautiful lady was Ken

I knew Kaths was Dunes

I did to & fro

But I tthought Tim's was Saint T

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments Tim, just pick a goal and a prompt to reach that goal ;)

So far we've had:

prompt: picture
goal: serious description

prompt: music
goal: serious description

You can use any prompt you want (including text), but it'd be good to differ the goal. Humour, poetry, dialogue - whatever! Think of school short-story-writing lessons (though hopefully more creative than mine were...)

Suggest 150 words max.

message 120: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Yea Simon's was 1940 I think it was the 3rd time I read it that I realised it was from a cat's perspective

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments We could put the winners' entries in the Gallimaufrey ;)

message 129: by Kath (new)

Kath | 1233 comments OMG I voted for Simon :)
In my defence i did like the cat theme - had a sneaking suspicion it was his, but voted for it nevertheless cos thought was clever and poignant...

Geoff (G. Robbins) (merda constat variat altitudo) (snibborg) | 8204 comments I have to confess I only guessed Ignite's. The rest I didn't have a clue.

Wonderful pieces, all of them.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments More a personal challenge or exercise I suppose.

Geoff (G. Robbins) (merda constat variat altitudo) (snibborg) | 8204 comments I guessed because of the vocabulary, Ignite.

I'll tweet the winner's GR profile page or something if I don't hear back.
