Like swords. the movies are highly inaccurate. I've studied swordsmanship a bit, and I still can't hold my own.

Well, what if we were boy scouts or something like that once? Because then we'd at least know the basics. I was a boy scout so I kinda know how to use a gun.

Same with a sword. I practice a little with fake ones and I'm still pretty good.

And in general, it's a better idea to stay away from them. I don't care if you're the best shot in the entire world, but if you see your mom shambling towards you with her jaw missing and half her arm town apart, you're gonna lose it.

Not many people, generally DON'T know how to use a gun. Correctly? Probably not, but they still can.

Correct. But for the purpose of this role play, guns and swords would just mess up the balance of everything.

You show a good point. Still though, you need to figure out a way to reduce them types of weapons used without saying 'No-one would be able to use them'.

I am. I've been re-thinking everything since I checked back in, and you WILL be able to use guns, but this is more like Day Z, where guns are rare and ammo is rarer. I'll tell you when you find one, and how many shots you find. Remember, they may not be at the same time. You could have a stockpile of dozens of bullets before you find the wrong kind of gun.

yeah but the problem is that standard weapons (that are low grade mind) would be super easy to find. I'll offer any help I can if I think of any way to restrict the weapons. I agree with you by the way, weapons should be rare.

Exactly. I was saying that no one gets them so that someone gets really excited when they finally come across a crappy revolver.
