Did anyone else realize who Iain was early on?

If you into these types of stories I highly recommend The "Tenth Gift by Jane Johnson "

I liked Iain and I was glad that it was him (though I was fooled into thinking it was Geoff throughout the book), but I felt that there should have been more development between him and Julia.... more emotional connection prior to the ending.

That's why I felt they should have felt some connection to one another in their present life.

Iain did connect, ..."
I did love the story, too. That's why it really bugs me that the ending left me feeling disappointed. I thought about it for days after finishing the book. I would like to have read more about Iain and Julia as they reconnected in their present life.
I think you are right about Julia being overwhelmed by Geoff. But I think it was partly because she was convinced he was the one( since he was a descendent) and she was too busy trying to feel the connection with him to see anything else.
Ahh.... I do love Susanna Kearsley's books! I'm looking forward to reading "The Shadowy Horses" soon.

Where do I go from here? Any suggestions on the next Susanna Kearsley book I should read?
Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestions Gertt!

OF COURSE it was Iain. It couldn't have been anyone else!

I've since read The Winter Sea, and loved it just as well- now on the hunt for more Kearsley books!

I have read all of her books and they are all fantastic, but I agree with you, The Winter Sea is my favorite of her books too!

The Winter Sea is my favorite of her novels. I didn't realize the Firebirds was a sequel!
I love rereading all of her books, including Mariana, because I find things that I missed. She's a wonderful writer.

For theeeeese are the burning questions that keep me awake at night. *swoons dramatically*

I'm half way through Season of Storms. Liking it, but struggling more than I did with some of her other books. Should I keep going and finish it? or is the ending that bad?

Keep going, Nancy.
