David Burton (goodreadscomdcburtonjr) | 7 comments Can you delete Unknown Book 8735542? It is the same book as The Golden Palace - Hellcop II which has a cover and is complete. I don't know why there are two of them. Thanks.

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments It's probably a remnant of the fiasco with Amazon. Not sure why you think it needs to be deleted as it has a legitimate ASIN. I'll see if I can find some data to clean it up.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) It has a valid ASIN, so it doesn't need deletion. If you can provide us with the missing details (which were lost because of the recent Amazon situation), we can restore it properly.

Edit: Looks like lafon حمزة beat me to it again. ;)

Amara Tanith (aftanith) I've restored the title based on your comment here. The details still missing are: publisher, publishing date, page number, and cover.

If the cover is the same as the ebook edition, let us know so someone can attach it to the Kindle edition, too.

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments Verified publish date and cover and added those. Like Amara said we still need: Publisher, and page number.

David Burton (goodreadscomdcburtonjr) | 7 comments Yes, the cover is the same. All the info is the same.
I am the publisher - David Burton
Do you mean the number of pages? I don't know. The file I submitted had 190 pages, but as an e-book I think it depends on the particular reader.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) Actually, now that I see it's a Smashwords books, I'll mention that GR policy is to list Smashwords as the publisher.

As for page number, I have no idea how Kindles and Kindle editions use page numbering, so I'll leave that field blank for someone more Kindle-knowledgeable to get it.

Eric | 14 comments Here is a discussion of policy on page counts for Kindle editions:

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9...

This discussion assumes that your kindle edition includes page numbers - some do not. Prior to the kindle supporting page numbers the page count always matched a print edition if it existed. If you only have one print edition and the content is the same as the kindle edition, use that. If content is different, it might be better to leave it blank.

Edit: Just realized the other edition is also an ebook. Without a print edition, I don't know how to get a page count.

David Burton (goodreadscomdcburtonjr) | 7 comments Instead of page numbers why not use word count. That would be the same no matter where it came from.

Because that would involve adding a new field to the database. There are no plans to do so anytime soon.

The information is also not always easy to find.

For any book where it is known, word count certainly can be included in the description.
