Mistake? Reference to Al Pacino in The Godfather

There are at least two references to Amir talking "like Al Pacino in The Godfather" when he gets his jaw wired shut. It has been a while since I watched that movie, but didn't the author mean Marlon Brando's character???

I don't remember that reference, but Pacino was in the godfather too so its possible that is what he meant

Butterfly Thanks for that! Yeah, he talks like that in the famous restaurant assassination scene!

I know it's late, but I'm just reading the book, got to this part and had to Google it for the same reason. I, too, think he meant Marlon Brando.

Dene Gomez I checked Youtube. It is indeed Marlon Brando who speaks weirdly in that movie.

Not to change the discussion, but since it's been decided, I thought the Kite Runner was an excellent read.
