Myka (mykaramos) | 18 comments I'm a librarian and technically a new author. I've been trying to add multiple ebook versions (like so) of my free story. I was only able to upload the epub version. Another librarian uploaded the PDF version for me. I still have the mobi version to upload, but I seem unable to do so. I have searched everywhere and all I found was mentions to a drop down menu which I cannot see. I'm starting to think maybe my ad blocker is preventing me to access this feature fully? Any help is appreciated.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) The drop-down menu should show up beside where is says "format:". The default selection (or at least, what I'm seeing) is "ePub". If everything's functioning properly, clicking on "ePub" or the little downwards arrow beside it should open the drop-down menu.

If it doesn't work, maybe try disabling the adblocker? Or trying a different browser, if you have one installed?

Myka (mykaramos) | 18 comments Ok. I tried with other books that were not mine and was able to see the drop down menu. When I try uploading in mine I go straight to the edit ebook page so whenever I try to upload more I see this. Guess that means once I upload one version I can't upload more as an author under a single version? Glitch? Guess I need help to upload the mobi version since it is not allowing me to do it myself.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) Odd. It would appear, then, that authors get a totally different ebook submission page. I think it might be best to wait for someone more knowledgeable than I to weigh in on the subject; there might be some reasoning behind the ePub/PDF limitation that I'm not aware of.

Myka (mykaramos) | 18 comments At least I'm happy to know it wasn't just me missing something obvious, but it's a real roadblock that I can only upload one format when any other librarian can upload more.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) I imagine the difference is that the author version is more likely optimized for selling and previews, while the librarian version is optimized for uploading public domain works. Still, I'm not sure why an ePub/PDF limitation has been implemented for authors.

Myka (mykaramos) | 18 comments I hope I find a way to upload more formats in the future since I want to share more free stories :)
