Thank you Amy....I could hug you!!!!!!I think that we are all a bunch of stubborn and competitive people....that is why we get so heated up. I appreciate the concession you made. It means alot to the team and I want you to know that you are just as important a player. We can not win this without EVERYONE pulling their weight.
And we do have a good chance!

It sounds like a lot has happened while I've been asleep. Ladies: We're in the lead, and this is supposed to be fun. I know it can be frustrating to do your best and have to rely on one person for the team placement, but I also think now would be a good time for everyone to take a chill pill. Everyone has something going on in their lives, whether it be work, sick kids, visiting relos, or just too many other commitments. Now that we're ALL on board with wanting to do what we can to win this, I think the best way forward is encouragement and no more singling anyone else out...
@Amy: Thanks mate, you've kept us in the lead. I'm liking the sound of some of the books you've been reading, they're a bit different from my usual reading fare, but I've been checking out the synopsis of them when I do the progress updates and they sound quite good. I'm glad to have you on board now as a team player, thanks for understanding everyone's frustrations, and modifying your behaviour to accommodate.
@Katya: She might think there's no need until tomorrow when the next book gets posted, she's finished all her books hasn't she? EDIT: Just checked and no she hasn't finished this week's book, but she's pretty good about it. Would you like me to send her a PM to get a heads up?

Just think of what Dory says in Finding Nemo, *in a sing-song voice* "Just keep reading, just keep reading, reading, reading" ... or at least, that's what she meant to sing, I'm sure! :-)

Everyone was frustrated at me so I had no choice to give in. I've still got a bunch of books from the library to read so I was hoping to get more read between the two competitions.

Looking at the numbers we need at least 2 more items for any team to win. There is a chance some players may be out after the next item is called, but the teams will still be in it. It will get harder as we progress since the items you can claim get fewer and trying to fiond them all in the same book.
I think it might come down to hours after the item is called on August 5th.

FYI everyone. I am having my kids bday party so I won't be on here until late tomorrow. I just need to make goody bags (party favors) and entertain 3-5yr olds...and their parents. In-laws came in from NYC, so I will be entertaining until late Sunday when everyone goes home.Thank you.

If it was 9 PM where Dawn was an hour and 18 minutes ago that means she has 1 hour and 42 minutes to go. She must be in Mountain Time.....'cause I am on the Atlantic Seaboard in Eastern Standard and one hour and 18 minutes ago was 11 PM for me.....It is midnight here I am up cooking and will be up for a while. And I am waiting for the book....This picking of the book is not fair to you CaroB and Kathy.....LOL
I am antsy too because I have a few books lined up and I am hoping that one of those items in the book will be selected.
So not fair!! LOL. its silly really coz we still get the same time etc, just doesnt feel like it. I always feel like, if I read into Monday Im cheating! So another hour or so and we should have an item!! Yeeha!!

Review: I had a hard time getting into this book for some reason. Its not that the story was bad or it was boring. I found the story actually interesting in the end, but still there was someting a mis. Most of the time i was wondering where will it end up. In the end i got my answer its all about Riley Blackthorne and how she is destined to keep the world from ending.
Items:
1. Tattoo Page 27 - When she finished Harper huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, revealing a blood-red tattoo on his forearm.
2. Uniform page 59 - Every time he'd moved, she'd heard the stiff fabric of his uniform.
3. Vehicle of some kind other than a car page 59 - Every few minutes a Trainwould roll in or out of the station with a peculiar whirring sound-

I'm having a hard time finding a fire book. How do go about finding one? Is there a specific way to look for a specific word on the kindle without actually buying the book?
I am not sure if there is a way to search with out opening the book. If you have some options maybe your team might have them and can help you find one. Or maybe if you have hardcopy books we can let you know if there is fire.

These are just some of the ones I've got on hand. Do any of these books have fire in it?
I don't have any of those, but an educated guess would be that Everneath set in the under world might have fire & brimstone. And since Enchanted and Dark Destiny both have historical settings before modern light bulbs I would guess there is mention of a fire in the form of candle or lantern or in a hearth.
