Dynastelle got out her wand "Does anybody here know what the inpedimenta spell does?"

Gwen looked up. "I do! It slows down moving objects."

Carmen had opened her mouth to say that but Gwen had blurted it out.

Dynastelle nodded. "good job Gwen." She shook her head "God, I sound like a profesor"

"Thanks!" Gwen said.

"Okay, what we're going to do is painless and will nt hurt him, okay?" Dynastelle went to her bag and brought over a rabbit. "His name is Cilantro. We'll try the spell on him." she put him on the floor and let him hop around. "Okay, so what you do is you focus on the object, flick your wand and say Impedimenta" She demonstrated and the rabbit started moving in slow-motion. She quickly did a countercurse and set him free again. "Who wants to try?"

Carmen raised her hand.

"Okay, Carmen, you try" Dynastelle took a step back and gestured towards Cilantro

Carmen took out her wand. "Impedimenta!" She said loudly.

Dynastelle watch the rabbit

The rabbit started moving in slow mmotion and carmen clapped.

Katherine joined Teddy's group after shoving her bag under the chair, and smiled at him. "This sounds very interesting!"

Dynastelle clapped "well donr!"

"Now that we have a few people, I can go over the spell. As I said, Partis Temporis is a spell that can create a temporary gap in a magical barrier. To cast the spell you must recite the incantation and flick your wand." Teddy said. "Who wants to go first?" Teddy said while making a magical barrier in the corner of the room.

Chilton raised his hand

Katherine raised her at the same moment as Chilton, and blushed at him. "Sorry! You can go first." She said, slowly pulling her hand out of the air.

Chilton smiled but shook his head "No, you go first. It's a rule, ladies first, yaknow? I'd probably be arrested by some manner-authority"

She giggled and shook her head slightly, causing her long, tousled black hair to fall over her shoulders. "Thank you." She said, blushing even the more.

"Go ahead, then, Katherine." Teddy said.

Chilton smiled. "So are you going to do it?"

She smiled and nodded, stepping a few feet away from the crowd and taking her wand out of her sweater pocket. "I'll just create a target..." She said, zapping at the air, where a wall of water appeared about ten feet away from her. "And now..." She rose her wand and looked determined at the water wall. "Partis Temporis!" She said, while flicking her wand.
Her spell flew through the air at the water, making it part in half, while still standing.
She smiled.

"Good job, Katherine! Who else wants to try?" Teddy asked.

Katherine felt pride swell in her chest as she made her way back over to the group. "Thank you Teddy! The spell is kind of comfortable with my wand." She said, smiling. She willed the water to flow back together before she put her wand away and brushed a bit of hair out of her face, waiting for the next person to go.

Chilton stepped forward "I'll go now"

Katherine nodded and smiled. "You'll do perfectly!" She encouraged Chilton.

Chilton smiled at her and got out his wand "Partis Temporis!!" the water split apart, but it splashed him. "Augh." he said, shaking his hair out like a dog. It looked like someone dumped a bucket of water on him

"Try again, I know you can get it." Teddy said.

Chilton nodded. Trying to ignore how soaked he was, he did the spell. It worked better this tome. The wall stayed sepereated. Ending the spell, he smiled

"Good job, Chilton!" Teddy congradulated.

Chilton smiled, wiping his dripping hair from his face

Katherine did a small dance and smiled at him. "Woot!" She cheered. Thinking for a moment, she put a hand on her hip and looked at Teddy. "Hey, I have an idea... What if we put a wall of water like this at the dance for display?"

[Rachel]

"That would look really cool until someone ends up getting drenched." Teddy said. "But you can ask someone if you want."

Iris giggled at the thought.

Katherine giggled and nodded. "That's true... People would try walking through it." She said, sitting down in a nearby chair. "Well, maybe if we find a way to make it unbreakable, even with someone pestering it."

"or we could just have everyone do the Impervius spell on themselves so their clothes wouldn't be ruined if the wall fell" Chilton shrugged.

"That could work," Teddy said.

Katherine looked at Chilton. "Genius!" She complimented, a sparkle in her eyes at new ideas. "What about the ballroom? Of course, if the wall did happen to fall, we could always use Flagration on the room." She smiled, deep in thought. "Yes, I do think that might work. I wonder who I'll need to speak to about making that happen."

Chilton smiled at her praise. "I'd say one of the professors"

She nodded thoughtfully. "Well, Chilton? I don't want to do it by myself... I need someone to come with me!" She smiled at him and the group.

Katherine knitted her eyebrows. "Well, not if you don't want to come. I can easily get one of my other friends to help." She said to him, grinning somewhat.

Chilton smiled "I'll go"

Ash entered the room and looked around. Slightly uncertain on where to begin he approached a group of people. "Hi..."

"Hey,"Teddy said ss he noticed the new member.

"Ash." He greeted, offering him his hand.

"Teddy," he said, shaking his hand.

"Oh right! I think we're on the quidditch team together!"

"Yeaj, I am!" Teddy said. "Do you want to join my group here. We are working on a spell the makes a temporary gap in a barrier. Otherwise you can go over by Dynestelle or Maria to learn something else."

[Lyss, Head Warlock of the Wizengamot, Head of Gryffindor]

"No, here's great thanks!" He said, grinning. He slipped his wand out from his sleeve and said: "Right. Where do I start?"
