Iris sighs in relief. " Im already pretty good at expeliarmus." She says to teddy.

"Then you can join Dynesstelle, Gwen, and I doing the Patronus." Teddy said.

"Okay great! " She says with a smile.

[Rachel]

"Have you learned patronuses before or would you like me to go over it?" Teddy asked.

Naomi walked over to the group practicing the Patrounoses, seeing as she already new Expelliarmus. "Erm, could you go over what to do? I missed that part."

[Rachel]

"Sure!" Teddy said. "Ok, so as you probably know, the patronus charm is used to ward off dementors. To cast the spell you must think of the happiest memory that you can think of and then recite the words 'Expecto Patronum'" Teddy pulled out his wand, thought of a memory, and said "Expecto Patronum". A silvery wolf came oit of his wand. "Just like that, now you try," Teddy explained.

Katherine froze and looked up at him. "Well... I wanted to learn something new, but now my brian is going on a trip, and I can't really think of anything." She admitted, blushing slightly.

[Naomi]

Naomi waved her wand and said,"Expecto... no, expeto, no no... Expecto Patronum!" she cried, and a silvery wisp went out of her wand. "WHoops."

Iris searched her mind, trying to think of a happy thought.

"Well I have a bunch of new spells planned so I hope you find something to learn," Teddy answered Katherine. Teddy noticed Naomi who was having a hard time with the patronus. "Keep trying," he said encouragingly, "You might need to think of something even happier if you want better results."

Katherine nodded and smiled. "Thanks Teddy. You seem like you really care about starting this group up." She observed outloud. "You want me to see if I can get a couple friends to come and join?" She asked him.

"Okay then...." she said, and tried again, this time getting a bigger whisp. "Hmm...." she thought a while, trying to conjure a happier thought.

Teddy nodded to Katherine. "That would be great!" he said. "And yes, I really do care about making this group work." Teddy said.

"Keep trying, Naomi, I know that you can get that Patronus!" Teddy said.

Dynastelle ended her spell, looking around. Chilton practiced the Expeliamus a few more times.

[Naomi]

Naomi felt just a little better when Teddy had shown confidence in her, so she tried one last time. "Expecto Patromum!" she cried, and a panda ((but not black and white- just different shades of silver)) shot out of her wand. "It's so cute!" she cooed.

Katherine clapped. "Woot!" She exclaimed, smiling. "That's beautiful." She told the girl Teddy kept calling Naomi.

[Naomi]

"Thanks," Naomi blushed, trying not to act too proud.

Dynastelle watched. "it's too bad pandas are endangered"

[Naomi]

"Yes, I love pandas. After all, they do come from where my mum and dad used to live. China, I mean."

Naomi smiled back.

Chilton walked up "oh! Pandas are awesome. One time I held a baby panda." Dynastelle nodded "me too!"

"I've never seen a real live one before, only pictures" she shrugged.

Iris slightly fustrated, from her failed attempts, tried one last time.
"Expecto Patronum!" She yells, and a silvery blue hawk erupts from her wand, and she states in amazement. "Look teddy I did it!!! Wow I never thought it would be a hawk." She says excitedly.

[Rachel]

Teddy watched Iris's hawk fly. "Good job, Iris! I knew you could do it!" Teddy said.

Maria watched Iris's hawk "Wow Iris that was great!"

"Hey Maria, are you doing ok teaching Expelliarmus or would you like me to come and help since my group seems like they are doing well?" Teddy asked.

Iris blushes with a smile, watching her hawk dissolve into the air.

Maria shrugged "Well I don't have much of a group."

"Ok, pretty soon we can switch to new spells," Teddy said.

Iris wipes the sweat off her forehead, and pulls a water bottle out of her satchel, and drinks what's left.

[Naomi]

Naomi approached her, unsure of what to say. "Erm.... I liked your Patronus," she said, "Do you know how it connects to you?"

"Wow thanks. Yeah actually, when I was younger I ran away to the woods, and there was this hawk that would sit next to me in the brush every night when I went to sleep. He was beautiful" She replies, deep in thought. Then looks up suddenly with a smile.

[Rachel]

"That's really special, Iris." Teddy said, overhearing their conversation.

Katherine nodded to Iris and smiled. "Why did you run away?" She asked, but jumped, then to say "I mean, if it's alright to ask." she let out a small, nervous laugh.

"No it's okay.Well, I may come from a rich pureblood family, but I was never really happy. My mother was an alcholholic, my father had anger issues, and my sister was my only peruse, figurehead. Anyway, mom came home from the leaky cauldron one day, drunk and dad started telling at her, because she had spent over 300$ on drinks. It ended up getting really violent, so they went on the gondola outside, so my sister and I wouldn't see. We never really saw what happen after that, all we know is that she had fallen off the gondola, and broken her spine, making her death instant. We both of course blamed our father, and I got so upset that I ran to the Forrest. I was so angry and upaet at him, I couldn't stand to look at him. Then, he called his friend Draco Malfoy, to find me because he is like a real father to me. Not perfect, but better than mine. He came across me in the woods after about 2 months of living alone. I was supposed I even lived. Then I ended right back to his house. I still haven't forgiven him, but I just....I dunno its just how it is I suppose. I spend more time at Draco's house than my own honestly." She replies heavily, sitting down in the chair.

Dynastelle patted her shoulder. "ouch" Chilton stood back

"Really I'm fine. As much as I hate to say it, I'm kind of glad she's gone. Got tired of firewhiskey bottles everywhere. Knew her more drunk than sober."

Katherine looked down at her hands. "That sounds sort of horrible." She said quietly, stratching at her dark blue fingernail polish. "I'm sorry." She said, knitting her eyebrows.

That was horrible, knowing that Iris came from such a background. And katherine was suddenly glad that she had the family that she did, and made a small mental note to visit them when she could.

Chilton was supried that someone looked twice at him. "uuuh, what? We're doing the Petronus Charm and Expelliarmus"

" oh good charms are always fun!" she said getting out her wand and sitting next to chilton

"Not much. I just made my first patronus." Iris replies, wiping the tears from her eyes, hoping no one saw. "I don't think I could them seeing me so weak." She thought to herself.
