Veronica I am about 100 pages in and I was wondering if there is any romance in this book (if so, don't tell me with who) or is it just straight fantasy? Thanks! :)

Ann Gimpel @ Veronica. No, not really. Lirael, Sabriel and Abhorsen were written as YA fantasy. I believed them to be well written and they held my interest. Particularly compared with today's YA fantasy (think Twilight, or even the Hunger Games) there's not much in the way of romance. There is a secret, though, that you find out eventually that has a romantic element.

Okay, thanks! I guess I'm just in the mood for romance. Maybe I'll read a book with romance now and come back to it later :)


Tina J No it's not really a romantic book, although Sabriel DOES have a love interest......it's more about the 'adventure'.

Ryne There's a little romance but it isn't the sole focus of the story, which I loved
