message 1: by Stephen (new) - added it

Stephen Phillips | 4 comments Goodreads Librarians, I tried to add my second novel, "The Recipient's Son" to my profile. When I insert the required information and tried to "Create Book" it reported that it could not be added because the work is already in Goodreads under another author. Turns out there was an author in the later 1800s with my same name (Stephen Phillips). "The Recipient's Son" is currently assigned to him. Would you please add it to my profile?

Respectfully,

Stephen Phillips

No. That is what keeps your books separate from the books by other authors with the same name.
