Elizabeth (lizr8900) | 317 comments I finished The Mistress of Tall Acre by Laura Frantz and The Proposal (Porter Family #3.5) by Becky Wade , both were very good! Next I'm going to finish A Bride at Last (Unexpected Brides #3) by Melissa Jagears and start either Love at Any Cost (The Heart of San Francisco, #1) by Julie Lessman or Isle of Hope Unfailing Love (Isle of Hope, #1) by Julie Lessman .

Bess | 2584 comments Finished The Unveiling (Age of Faith, #1) by Tamara Leigh

Still deciding where to go from here...I think I'll start A Light in the Window An Irish Christmas Love Story by Julie Lessman after Chanukkah is complete! Too little time during the feasts of Dedication! :)

I'm reading Susan Meissner's Stars Over Sunset Boulevard right now. Finished In the Shadow of Thy Wings by Anita Heath Richardson.

Sharon, there is a link (add book/author) above the comment box. Click on that, do a search for the book. Find the book, before clicking "Add," go to the bottom of the small screen and click either "link" or "cover." There is also a tab at the top that says "Author." And you can click that and add the author. :) Hope that helps!!

Bess | 2584 comments So, I didn't start A Light in the Window An Irish Christmas Love Story by Julie Lessman ....
But I did start Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball by Donita K. Paul ; very cute so far!!

message 962: by Bess (last edited Dec 23, 2015 07:18AM) (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Okay, finished Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball by Donita K. Paul , slow at points. But overall, it was cute and a light read.

Since The Golden Braid (Hagenheim #6) by Melanie Dickerson went on sale, I immediately started it!! Stoked!

message 963: by Bess (last edited Dec 27, 2015 10:53AM) (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Finished The Golden Braid (Hagenheim #6) by Melanie Dickerson and immediately jumped to The Pepper in the Gumbo (Cane River Romance, #1) by Mary Jane Hathaway The Pepper in the Gumbo. It is slow going, so I put it aside for now and started and finished The Falcon and the Sparrow by M.L. Tyndall The Falcon and the Sparrow...wow!

message 964: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments So, back on The Pepper in the Gumbo (Cane River Romance, #1) by Mary Jane Hathaway ...not as riveting as MaryLu but it's cute so far....

What are YOU reading??

I'm not there yet. I haven't completed the books on my "to-read" shelf yet. But I'm a new reader. I only started reading as a true hobby about 7 years ago. So, a late "bloomer" so to say. :D The first novel I read was The Hobbit (Middle-Earth Universe) by J.R.R. Tolkien , when I was 25! Here we are, 10 years later and I'm loving to read more and more each year.

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Currently reading Rodeo Rescuer (Wrangler's Corner #2) by Lynette Eason and Five Days in Skye (MacDonald Family Trilogy #1) by Carla Laureano . Both books gripped me right away. Going to be tough to say goodbye to these characters, for sure.

message 973: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (lizr8900) | 317 comments right now I'm finishing up A Bride at Last (Unexpected Brides, #3) by Melissa Jagears and will be working on A Night Like No Other The true love story of Mary and Joseph by Kristin Vayden Star of Night (The Incense Road #2) by Tracy L. Higley Playing the Part (A Class of Their Own #3) by Jen Turano and At Love's Bidding (Ozark Mountain Romance #2) by Regina Jennings while I'm off of work this week.

message 974: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Wow! Nice...do you read them all at once or one at a time?

message 975: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (lizr8900) | 317 comments I usually read several books at a time. Every now and then a book will totally grab my attention but I like to bounce back and forth =)

message 976: by Bess (last edited Jan 07, 2016 09:09AM) (new)

Bess | 2584 comments All you people who are capable of doing that really impresses me. I'm a one book at a time gal. Then, if I don't enjoy the read or quit the book, it takes me a while to pick another book up after that. Some of the slower books make me drag my feet through it. Generally, I want to know what happens but I can put a book down and never finish.
See, I'm reading The Vow (An Uncertain Choice, #0.5) by Jody Hedlund and while the premise is very intriguing, it is a bit slow. Plus, I'm not a speedy reader to boot. :D

Bess, have you tried skimming through the slow parts to get to the good stuff? I don't normally do that, but occasionally I do if I'm bored with a particular book but still want to know what happens before beginning a new one.

I don't generally "skim." I should give it a try! Thanks for the suggestion. :D

message 982: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments The ONLY time I skim is if the book I'm reading is boring me, but I still want to find out what happens. Other than that, I'm usually so engaged in the book that I eagerly devour every word.
