Aerykah | 1404 comments Petticoat Ranch is hilarious! I read it before my sis moved out... we were still sharing a room & I couldn't read it if she was asleep or studying because it kept making me laugh out loud. ;D
Enjoy!!

This series is not easy to get into but once you do, it's quite engaging.

Okay, think I got it that time.

I, too, couldn't figure it out at first. Nice work, Naomi! I'm SO looking forward to reading Born of Persuasion. I've heard a lot.

message 615: by Naomi (new)

Naomi Rawlings | 31 comments Ganise, Born of Persuasion (Price of Privilege #1) by Jessica Dotta Has a very literary feel to it. I'm a die hard romance junkie, so it's not my usual read, but there are parts I'm enjoying anyway. Will let you know when I get a review up. If only those pesky romance novels wouldn't keep distracting me from finishing the book I'm supposed to be reading!

As a true hopeless romantic, I absolutely understand, Naomi. Looking forward to your final thoughts!

message 617: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (lizr8900) | 317 comments I'm about halfway through Rules of Murder (Drew Farthering Mystery #1) by Julianna Deering and love it so far.

Next up I can't decide! Rebellious Heart by Jody Hedlund Fired Up (Trouble in Texas, #2) by Mary Connealy Love's Awakening (The Ballantyne Legacy, #2) by Laura Frantz City on Fire A Novel of Pompeii by Tracy L. Higley and The Miner's Lady (Land of Shining Water #3) by Tracie Peterson all came in at the same time and I have no idea where to start!

I'd also like to read Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth On Distant Shores (Wings of the Nightingale, #2) by Sarah Sundin The Governess Of Highland Hall (Edwardian Brides, #1) by Carrie Turansky Which None Can Shut by Reema Goode Last Light by Terri Blackstock

Lisa Belcastro | 64 comments I am slogging through Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut for my youngest AP English class. I didn't like this book in high school and I'm enjoying it even less now. Depression, death and a crazy loon who thinks he lives with green men.
I need a good romance to save me. Ordered three this week and not one has arrived yet . . . tomorrow, please Lord.

Carole Jarvis Chasing Hope by Kathryn Cushman I've always enjoyed Katie Cushman's writing, but I think this is one of her best. Well written and so relevant for the Christian life. Emotional, had me in good tears at the end, very rare for me! Has anyone else read it yet?
