definitly the first one - the hunger games! the rest were natural follow-ups but not as intense as the first! i saw the movie and thought it was well done as well - not as good as the book, but worth seeing for sure!

I liked Catching Fire the best. It was filled with a ton of suprises. Then The Hunger Games, then Mockingjay.
The first one was great, the second one was difficult to read and quiet dull. You could tell she didnt enjoy writing it. Third one was okay, parts of it were great and other parts were just boring.
I think I'm going for Catching Fire, then Hunger Games and then Mockingjay but to be honest I read the whole trilogy over a long weekend and loved them all. They are well written and have a depth that will speak to you and move you and make you think but is not so in your face that you can't just enjoy the books as great fiction. The characters in the Quarter Quell in Catching Fire were amazing and I have a very vivid picture of what everyone looks like in my mind.
The descriptions of The Capitol in The Hunger Games were so sumptuous that they made your mouth water.
The way that Katniss is written in Mockingjay is so sad and haunting because she is so damaged that I wanted to protect her and cuddle her.
They are now in my list of all time favourite books which is a rare hapenning
That is summed up exactly the way i feel.
Mockingjay was my favorite! Catching Fire was good but slow at first. The Hunger Games was great but it was slow at first was well. Sooo 3,1,2
definatly the second book : Catching Fire because my dear Finnick comes in! then the first book : The Hunger Games because it kept me going then the third book : Mockingjay because i got bored through it!
The 2nd cause it wasn't as slow as the 1stthen the 3rd cuz it was also faster than the 1st.
But I liked the plot better in the 1st than the 3rd.
And Finnick died in the 3rd. Therefore, I'm so close to hating the 3rd one.
So, I like the 2nd, then the 1st, then the 3rd. (Although the 3rd wasn't completely terrible. Not completely, but yes, in some ways it was.)
