I don't know how many people on here read these books because they are a fan of the games, or just a fan of a finely crafted universe. But nevertheless, Christie came out with The Shattering right before Cataclysm was released as a prelude to the events of the expansion. And Blizzard also had someone else come out with a book to do the same for Diablo 3. Since this book is due for an August release, do you all think that that may be indicating that the expansion will come out around August?

Most of the Golden books or other books that Blizzard entertainment has released are usually associated with story line with one of their games or a product of theirs. It is a good way to get fill in the gaps of story line when the games release newer content.
This book was one of the offerings that filled in the gaps between the close of the Cataclysm expansion and the start of Mists of Pandaria. There were a couple of novels and short stories here, although I think "Tides of War" will probably be the most relevant when the conflict between the Horde and Alliance (or perhaps more specifically Garrosh and Varian) comes to a head.
