Okay, so my friend recommended this book to me but IDK... Do you think it will be interesting for a 13-yr-old who doesn't like gory scenes?? Because I don't want to pick up a book all for nothing..

It's not gory at all, from what I remember. I read the book in sixth grade and enjoyed it quite a bit.
As far as I can remember, there is no gore in this book at all . It has been a while, but I'm pretty sure there's no gore. I liked its sequal Antsy Does Time a lot better when I accidently read that one first not knowing that this book existed. But to answer your question, sure. Check it out. Neal Shusterman is a brilliant writer.
There's no gore beyond crash-test dummy gore. Any violence which occurs happens to a mannequin/dummy and not to a person.
