Kudos to author Catherine Stovall for lending her hard work and pen to Reading for Rescues:
Mrs. Stovall will sign copies of her debut novel Stolen: The Requiem of Humanity Series: Book One, volunteers from Safe Harbor will have pets currently available for adoption present, there will be fun activities for the kids, and a drawing to win prizes.
"I feel it's important to give back to the community and I believe strongly in helping organizations such as Safe Harbor," says Mrs. Stovall. "These wonderful volunteers provide an important service to both the people and pets in this area. We have an excellent opportunity to help give these animals a second chance."
Catherine and others are working to raise food and funds for a local no-kill shelter helping match strays and loving homes.
More information about the drive and the shelter can be found at the Daily Journal and seMissourian.
Jenda and Soborgne are best friends and everything they do, they do together. Unfortunately, this time the girls may be joined at the hip in a far more horrible way: by death.
The girls are kidnapped and held captive by Belle and Matteo, two vampires with a plan. Belle, a sociopath in life and death, is searching for an heir to her reign as the only vampire to hold the secret to surviving the sun. Matteo is a lost soul who would give anything to be loved and to see the light of day. As the four characters’ worlds collide, blood is spilled, lives are lost, and rules are broken.
Disappointment in love and life bring out the worst in humans but, with vampires, it leads to a chilling tale of romance and terror.
