disappointing

I only got halfway through this book; just couldn't go on anymore. It held the promise of a story akin to The Big Chill or thirtysomething. At least, that's what I was expecting, but it was hugely dry and disappointing.

I found it as a used book, knew nothing about it, and had no expectations. And I loved it.
