Blayze didn't want her to but she wouldn't let it go and drove Blayze to the brink of insanity with her constant pestering, so finally Blayze allowed her to go to the ISO academy. However, she set it up so that no matter how well Maiya does, she can't graduate until she's 18. Does the fact that she's only a spy-in-training deter Maiya from joining in on the fun? As you can probably imagine, she doesn't manage to stay out of trouble very well.
