Need to make a movie!

It might be somewhat creepy, however. It seems like the illustrations of the creatures and machines in their still shots were all ready somewhat uncanny, and I think people would love to be terrified by them moving around.

Could it, perhaps, be filmed in black and white to make it seem more like the illustrations in the books?

I would LOVE to see this made into a movie! It was my introduction to Steampunk! Well, actually, probably the Golden Compass was, but I don't think it was "steamy" or "punky" enough to really qualify for steampunk after reading "Leviathan"
