Is art more important than math and science?

Okay, the artists of the world are praised more than scientists and mathematicians. The majority of peopel these days would rather go to a concert, than go to a scientific debate. I find that science is more important because it actually contributes to society. It helps us learn more about the world, where as art gives us all these different perspectives that contradict scientific law. not to mention that if it wasn't for scientists, there wouldn't be paint, radio, amplifiers, and alot of other things that artists use.

I'd say they're equal. Scientists create things that help us directly. Artists use such things to build a new perspective that helps us see the beauty of the scientific and natural world.
