Just found GR a couple of days ago and have been having so much fun adding books to my shelves. I really don't live in the middle of nowhere--it's just that most people think it is. I have 2 sons, 1 daughter and have had the same model spouse for 26 years. I've always been a reader but since I joined a book club a few months ago, I have become something of an addict. Well, I thought I was until I started reading all of your postings!

I've spent nearly an hour on the site just now and should be reading, too! :) I'm off to do that now--"People of the Book" by Geraldine Brooks. She's going to be in town in a couple of weeks--I'm so stoked.

She is very similar to what you would expect.

Thanks for joining. If you think you are addict now, wait till you spend a little more time with us! We read all sorts of genres so you are bound to be adding books to your TBR folder like crazy!!

I shoot for a book a week, but I'm not sure that's going to keep up with the rate I pick up books.
Welcome Lisa - from yet another Lisa! I'd be interested in what you think of People of Book. I read March a few months ago.

But "Little Women" is one of my favorite books ever and I had an idealized image of the father which didn't match the man in "March." I'm over half way through "People" and really like it!
