Anastasia Rose (Anastasia69Rose) Once I finally got around to reading the Hunger Games, just to see what the hype was about, I have to admit I got hooked. Spent the weekend reading the 2nd then 3rd in the series. I'm impressed. Great writing! Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins

Catherine (booksbakingandcoffeemaking) | 6 comments Loved The Hunger Games! I also thought I would see what the deal was and then I got hooked and read them all in a few days.

message 303: by Rick (new)

Rick Cassian | 2 comments Well, I decided to re-visit Charles Dickens this month, as I am reading his collection of Christmas stories. Good stuff! Brings back many fond memories of Christmases past.

message 304: by Carissa (new)

Carissa As soon as I finish my last final for school. I am going to tackle my love inspired Christmas books TBR pile.

message 305: by Aerykah (new)

Aerykah I finished Full Disclosure by Dee Henderson by Dee Henderson last weekend. All I can say is this -- After enjoying 12 books by this author, I'm pretty disappointed in this one. :/

A few minutes ago, I finished A Good-Hearted Man by Barbara Kaylor. It was pretty good. :)

Tonight, I plan to start Miss Match (Lauren Holbrook, #1) by Erynn Mangum Miss Match by Erynn Mangum

I LOVE that series, Jennifer! Are you a biblical fiction fan, or is Lynn Austin a favorite?

message 308: by Beverly (new)

Beverly (bjbixlerhotmailcom) I am currently reading The Aedyn Chronicles: Flight of the Outcasts, #2 in the Aedyn Chronicles series. This is a fantasy series for children, somewhat along the lines of the Narnia Chronicles. Written by Alister McGrath, a theologian from London

message 318: by Evelynn (new)

Evelynn (authorgirlev) Okay, I have to admit, when I finished Flee My Father's House (The Chloe Mae Chronicles, #1) by Kay D. Rizzo , I just had to read the rest. One leads right into the other. So now I'm on the third installment ( Claims Upon My Heart (Chloe Mae Chronicles, #3) by Kay D. Rizzo ), almost done with it, then I'll go to the fourth and final book, then I'm gonna borrow Pearl Maiden A Tale on the Fall of Jerusalem by H. Rider Haggard from my friend, then FINALLY get to Over the Edge by Mary Connealy , and this time, I'm certain!

message 319: by Catherine (new)

Catherine (booksbakingandcoffeemaking) | 6 comments I sped through the 3rd one so quickly that I had to go back and re-read some of it. Yes the 3rd one was my least favorite, but I still enjoyed it.

message 320: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Hansen (goodreadscomvalerie_hansen) | 18 comments I've actually written over 50 novels, mostly Christian. The latest is an ebook offering that I would love to put on a Goodreads giveaway but they're not enabled to do that yet. WAGES OF SIN by Valerie Hansen has just gone live on Amazon and there's a long exerpt there if you're interested. I'll have it up on my website soon. Amazon beat me to it! And, yes, this is a shameless promo. I LOVE this book. Hope the link works for you.

Evelynn (authorgirlev) At last, I got through the Chloe Mae series. And I just finished Pearl Maiden: A Tale on the Fall of Jerusalem, so I believe now it is safe so say that I will be starting Over the Edge very soon, perhaps today or tomorrow....

message 322: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia Rose (Anastasia69Rose) Just read
The Boy From the Basement
It's not a "Christian" book but is clean and an excellent read for anyone involved in foster care, with abused children, or interested in the perspective of a child who is betrayed by those who should love him. I highly recommend it.

Any of the books written by Lisa Wingate or Donna Van Liere are good choices for Christian Fiction and a newer author in the Christian Fiction genre that I like is Dan Walsh. And of course, there is a whole series of books written by Jan Karon that are wonderful.

Evelynn (authorgirlev) @Valerie: When you post another comment on here, in the box just above where you are typing there's a button that says "add book/author". Click on it, and type in the name of the book. When you find it, there's a select button at the bottom of the little search window that popped up when you clicked "add book/author" that says "link" or "cover". Select "cover"; select the book you want to show and you're set.
