Adding manual books -- can only add one author?

Not sure if this is the correct place, (and it's probably been addressed somewhere, but I could not find the post). I've noticed that when I manually add a book, even though I often have more than one author (author, translator), when I push save, it comes back up again with only the first author. So then if I "edit" the book immediately, I can add the second author (translator, editor), but it did not "save" from when I did this the first time; everything else (i.e. page numbers, publisher, publication date,etc.)is saved. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? It has happened to me several times. Sort of frustrating to have to do that part twice.
