Well I wish that you had told me
Psychic and a philosopher, I like it.

Sigh

Plus there are gorgeous fall nail polish colors to wear!

I love a fall palette...rich reds, burnt oranges, luxurious purples.
Nail polish is an affordable indulgence.

This is precisely why fall is my favorite, too!

Frankly $7/hour does not seem enough. I want my helicopter pilot to be making significantly more than $7/hour.

And now the girls who have been wearing their boots all summer long with their short-shorts don't even have to change shoes. Their stinky feet can stay in precisely the same shoe.
The leaves are starting to change...beautiful!
This is where I live. Literally. That nub on the left is called "Crown Point" and it's probably 10-15 minutes of the most beautiful drive from my front door. I LOVE Autumn!

Mish, you're so close to me! Sometime soon, when things calm down for you, we'll have to do something fun!
If Mr. Amy had his way, we'd be up there every night watching the sunset! :) Later in the year, when it gets dark earlier, I'll be more inclined.

I rock my vote, but I don't really get as excited about election time. I really hate people chapping on my door every night of the week.
Ah, the Historic Scenic Highway. You know, once upon a time, that was the only highway East. I love that drive from Troutdale to Multnomah Falls. My grandad used to take us all the time as kids, in his HUGE, maroon, fake wood sided, station wagon. We'd drive all the way to Cascade Locks to eat, then drive back. I think he did it, because that was the only time my grams shut up. She was a screamer and a nagger. (Though, I have to say he egged it on a bit. I mean, just close a cupboard now and then, old man!)
That's getting a little specific, Lar.
How 'bout Old Dirt Road?

Road to Nowhere? Talking Heads?
NICE one, Misha!

It still feels like autumn. There are crispy leaves everywhere and the air at night has a gentle chill.
I do hate how early it gets dark but I love to look up and see the silhouette of bare tree branches against the night sky.
I love this time of year. It reminds me of some happy times when I was a kid. I would wake up to the roar of cicadas, signaling a blistering hot day, king tides, lovely clear deep water in the creek. We could swim all day. No body cared were I was or what I was doing. Christmas beetles were around, they are so pretty. I could find a quiet corner and read alone without being disturbed. Climb my favourite gum tree. Life wasn't always bad. I lived in a beautiful location.
